Old-fashioned onsen inn with good cost performance
I think it's pretty good for solo travelers, families with children, and people from overseas. It is not recommended for wheelchair users because there are many steps in the bathroom and there is no elevator to the basement.
◾︎Good points
・The food is delicious.
Both mornings and evenings were fixed seating and menu fixed, but both were "delicious! I'm full!" will be. I had two refills of rice in the morning. The level of the food is lower than other major inns in Gero, but it is satisfying enough. As it is a prefecture without the sea, it is good not to expect sashimi, but to enjoy mainly Hoba miso and Hida beef.
· There is a reasonably substantial rest area after leaving the bath.
In the middle of the men's and women's baths, there are hammocks, sofas to ruin people, slides and picture books to make room for families with children.
It is also a short walk from the baths, but there is a karaoke room in front of the elevator and more than a thousand manga books, which is great for killing time after a meal. Table tennis and billiards corners are on the same floor.
・The garden seen from the lobby is beautiful.
It doesn’t have the glamour of the Suimeikan, but there is a sense of stability that says, “This is what I want.” The lobby is lined with sofas so you can spend time looking at the garden in a daze after taking a bath. There was also a footbath corner, although I did not use it.
◾︎Not so good
・The dressing room smells a bit.
It may be because I stayed in the summer, but I smell the toilet between when I went past the shoebox and when I went into the bathroom. It's probably because the toilet door was left open and fastened, but it's not the smell I want to smell the first time after taking a bath. The overall dim lighting, combined with the unhygienic look of the building, makes it look unsanitary.
This was unfortunate because the baths were old but normal beautiful.
・It is somewhat dark overall.
It is an old facility, so I don’t think it can be helped, but there are a lot of places where the lights are dark. I stayed in an old room, so it looked darker. If you're staying with multiple people, you might want to choose a new type of room, even if it's a little expensive.
・The souvenir corner is relatively shabby.
There is a souvenir corner at the far right as you enter the lobby, but it is not clear whether the product lineup is small despite the large space or whether it looks lonely in layout, but it is slightly inferior to Suimeikan and Ogawaya.
To put it very crudely, there was no excitement at all. I want a layout that makes you want to spend more.

I'm happy for you, Santorum. Very slow.
The open-air bath and the bath in the room were smooth and good.
I'm happy with the food.
It was raining when I checked in, which was good until I led the driver to the parking lot, but they sped me back and eventually the driver got wet to the hotel.
I thought that if he had guided me there, he would have taken the umbrella for the driver and given it to me.
That could be selfish.
