AUTHENTIC JAPANESE EXPERIENCE

All perfect from start to finish. Impeccable service. Dinner and breakfast Kaiseki in private room with my partner and exquisitely served.Very Japanese experience. It's very worth it, if you can afford it.
If I repeated, I would only do without the private Onsen in my room. The exterior Onsen are beautiful and I think it is not worth the price increase. Unless privacy when taking a bath is very important to you
In the price of the stay, the taxi to and from Gero station is included

A genuinely unique and special experience. We had a room with private outdoor soaking tub and it was well worth the extra cost to have the memorable experience. The dinner provided was luxurious and memorable as well.

Exquisite ryokan nestled in the serene town of Gero

We were truly impressed by our two-night stay at Kasuitei. We enjoyed the gracious hospitality – it set a high bar for Japanese service. One of our travellers fell sick one day before arrival, but the hotel agreed to waive cancellation charges. It was a kind gesture on their part.
The hotel bridged the language barrier. We were hosted by a front desk who spoke eloquent English and staff who went out of their way to use Google translate to introduce breakfast dishes. I’ve visited many ryokans that introduce their Kaiseki in Japanese, leaving guests perplexed. The front desk gave us food recommendations and helped us make a reservation.
Our room was immaculate, spacious and cosy. It offered a beautiful window view (would look amazing in autumn with scarlet red leaves).
We liked the hotel’s attention to detail. For instance, the futon pillow was concave and provided neck support. The public and private onsens were new, clean and well-maintained. There was also a massage chair for use after taking a bath.
Breakfast was delectable. I miss the main dish for my day-one breakfast – grilled vegetables in a hot plate of rich miso.
We highly recommend a stay at Kasuitei in Gero.

The best Japanese experience!

It was an extraordinary experience. My husband and I tasted the real Japan, the traditional one. They have a respect for customers and maximum availability for every request that deserves to be lived. The facility is amazing, the public and private bathrooms are wonderful. The fact that they can be used 24h/24 makes everything more relaxing.
The food is traditional, the flavors are strong but characteristic of the place... it deserves so much!
