Amazing and so beautiful hotel. Our room was gorgeous! The staff very friendly. The Onsen was so nice and calm. The meal was excellent. The only thing we regret is not staying there more than one night.

Love love love this hotel! I stayed in the annex with my own private bath on the balcony overlooking the mountains. The room was spacious and impeccably designed. The only thing that needs to be changed is the floorboards, as they are peeling apart everywhere. Also, the bed was not very comfortable.
I had half-board, so breakfast and dinner were included. Breakfast was a lovely buffet with both Japanese and western breakfast items. Dinner was a fixed 5-course menu. Dinner tried to be elevated, but just missed the mark in flavors. I also wish that dinner came with a drink, because you had to pay for a drink with your meal.
But all-around an excellent experience in the magical town of Gora. Highly recommend.

The staff there was amazing, they were so kind and attentive to everyone and they truly gave great customer service. The rooms were also beautiful and very clean. The quality of this ryokan is well worth the price.

The one amenity that makes this property enjoyable is the private bath on the outdoor deck. WiFi never worked the three days of our stay. The property is located on a hillside so be prepared to walk steep slopes or take a taxi.
