Convenient Hotel in Hamamatsu

Hotel Meijiya offers a free shuttle to and from the nearby station, coin laundry services next door, a nice public bath daily, and both western and Japanese style rooms. The staff were kind, attentive, and spoke good English. We were late for breakfast the first day but the they were nice and prepared it for us without any trouble! We enjoyed our stay in this clean and convenient hotel!

excellent staff and location and unique hotel with rare style japanese bath/mini-pool

this hotel is near the city center/downtown and the staff have given excellent customer service that i experienced since the few stays at this hotel. A few of them speaks a little english but they understand much better english. But the manager of the hotel speaks the best english and is very fluent in international english.
the staff and manager will help you get what information you need about the city for family tourist attractions. And the rooms have very cold A/C and a very interesting and very warm toilet seat. other hotels do NOT have such warm and working heated toilet seat. its a japanese hotel hallmark feature. There is a elevator in this hotel for those that need a lift up.
And its right next door to a 24-hour 7-eleven convienence store for late night food or drink purchases. And there is hotel parking on the sides of the building in multiple lot format.
the water is clean as far i could tell. and it need NOT smell of extra heavy chemical toxic smell; so this is comforting to know. And there is a stainless steel water/tea/coffee heater pot.
there is also a very very nice japanese style bath---almost like the turkish baths in turkey..but this version in this hotel is of an ancient japanese style.
there is also a hotel eatery/kitchen/restaurant on the ground floor.

An Excellent Experience in Japan

This is my first time in Japan and Hotel Meijiya in Hamamatsu is the hotel I stayed the longest from 28/3-5/3 2012. The service is excellent and Miki do help us a lot. Although the language was the main barrier but it did not stop us to fell in love with the assistance given by the staff. The location is about 1 kilometre away from Hamamatsu Station which gave us the opportunity to see Hamamatsu more. We never miss our home as the friendly staff ensure our stay as an experience of a lifetime. I will recommend Meijiya to my friend and future travellers to experience the beauty of Japan here.

English spoken, wonderful food, fantastic bath

My family of five stayed here last summer and had a very pleasant experience. We stopped on our way from Kyoto to Tokyo and spent one night. It's a family-owned business and the staff works hard to make you feel comfortable. The charming manager (I think her name was Miki...?) speaks fluent English and kindly explained how to use the Japanese bath and told us what to see in Hamamatsu. We enjoyed the delicious traditional Japanese breakfast served in the dining area and my kids loved the fluffy futons that the staff had waiting for us in the tatami room. The price was extremely reasonable (after Kyoto, it seemed like nothing). Two big thumbs up!
