Great location and super laid-back.

The Kiro Hotel is a boutique hotel in the heart of the city. From the outside, absolutely nothing special. The reception is warm and straightforward. Our room is right at the top on the sixth floor. A wonderfully comfortable wide bed with two blankets. A tiny bathroom, no view. Unfortunately, the windows cannot be opened. Everything else is very clean.
The coffee, prepared by the barista in the entrance area, is very good.
Breakfast at the Kiro Hotel must be announced; we only used it on the day of our departure. The former pool area serves as the breakfast room. There are actually only four types of filled crepes that are made fresh. On the buffet, there is a prepared avocado chicken salad with capers and a few salad leaves. For non-meat eaters, it is extremely difficult, but on vacation, we personally overlook that. There is brewed coffee and two types of tea bags. The same selection every day. It's good that we found nicer breakfast places around the corner.
The checkout at the Kiro Hotel goes smoothly; the large suitcases are left behind to be delivered to the next place.

Excellent. Great location, clean, well appointed. Loved the facilities with access to kitchen and laundry. The bar is nice staff were very good.

Friendly staff, rooms need major renovation

The staff here are friendly and helpful. The lounge is unique and relaxing. However, the hotel is odd. If you’re expecting a hostel then you’ll be pleasantly surprised! If you’re expecting a nice hotel… you may find it lacking. The rooms are dark (one tiny window, dim lights) and a bit depressing. It feels like they started a renovation, but stopped at the bathroom sink. The walls are scuffed and dirty, and the carpet felt old and dirty. The loft is made of unfinished wood. They’re going for the industrial look, but it just looks unfinished and dingy. We had a “moderate loft” room and it was very tight for 2 adults/2 kids.

Had booked this hotel for one night stay, it is perfectly located to the centre of Hiroshima.
Room smelt of damp and musty, a converted hospital with an industrial feel to the hotel.
Beds were comfy but the room needed a deep clean, which felt like a rare considering the standards in Japan.
