It is almost directly connected to the bus stop, so you won't get wet in the rain. There is also a department store with a wide selection of souvenirs right across the street. My room was comfortable, featuring a separate toilet and bathtub, and offered a beautiful view of Kumamoto Castle from the window.

Good location, big room and new

This is going to be longer review than I expected.
Was worried that the hotel and rooms were old and dirty from some reviews but surprisingly it was not. Managed to get a room with good pricing.
I requested high floor, corner, away from lift lobby and castle view which they were able to accommodate except corner room.
Room was spacious and had everything I need. Downside was that there was no do not disturb sign to hang at door handle. At exactly 5-10 mins after check out time at 11am, the housekeeping starts knocking on the door to ask about housekeeping. It was kind of annoying as I only wanted them to come at 12 noon.
My guess is you have to call reception to let them know your preferred timing so they will not knock on the door until the time that you have stated.
Loved the shower as it was strong. Also they provided bath salt which was a nice touch for baths.
Parking was expensive at 2,000 yen for multiple entries from 130pm to 1130am next day. You need to bring the ticket to get it stamped at reception and pay the fees.
As it was central location, there were lots of dining, 100 yen shops, pharmacies, convenience stores and Don Donki nearby.
Will definitely be back to stay at this hotel in Kumamoto again.

Staff is svery friendly and bows very deeply at every opportunity. Language can be a barrier if you don't speak Japanese, but these days there are plenty of apps to help with that part.

A hotel located at the heart of the town. When you walk in, you are greeted with warm, welcoming and friendly staff. Room is clean, fully equipped, well maintained facilities. View is excellent. And it is exceptionally quiet. We had a great night sleep with the mattress and pillows that are simply designed for human.

Breakfast is delicious.

The Kumamon & fireplace in the entrance lobby is impressive. The rooms are beautiful, but the design is simple. I can't help it, but it was a three-point unit. There is a line desk which is very convenient for work.
Breakfast is very good. Especially horse meat curry and loo han. It was good to have two kinds of grilled fish. The price is high, but I think the overall menu is well balanced.
