Always such a lovely peaceful oasis in an excellent district of Kyoto. My third time staying at Kabin, highly recommend!

A great unfussy hotel! We loved that it was located on a quiet side street, among regular residents' houses. Walking distance to all key attractions in the area, we didn't use public transport much. There was a kettle and a fridge. The toilet and the shower stall are separate. The king size room was perfect for our 6-night stay. The washing and drying machines downstairs were very reasonably priced and efficient. We used their luggage forwarding service which was about the same price as Yamato. I wish the TV was smart or had casting on it but that's the only thing.

Great hotel, great location, very quite area and you can use the gym at the other hotel they have like 3 minutes walking.

Pros: Super responsive staff, very modern property, small amenity stations on each floor. Modern check in. I like that there’s a few different locations and can store luggage with them. Huge king bed.
Cons: The walls and floors are INSANELY thin. You can hear every step above you, any movement nextdoor, or under you. Could hear the people under us open their blinds at 6AM. The walls were pretty scuffed up. Wasn’t impressed with the locations “amenities”, and they only clean your room every 4 nights.
