Modern hotel

The Moxy Hotel is located across from Nijo Station in Kyoto. The location is great for reaching all the sights using public transport. Fortunately, we were able to get a room at the back of the Moxy Hotel upon request at the reception, as it is certainly not quiet on the main road. Here, one can at least open a window. The room is not huge but very clean, and the bed is large and comfortable. At least BBC One is playing on the TV. The bathroom is spacious enough and has a nice rain shower.
We have breakfast in various cafés nearby. I find it shocking that hotel guests get their breakfast from the 7/11 across the street and eat it in the lounge.
On the last evening at the Moxy Hotel, we used our vouchers for a drink at the bar.

VERY GOOD OPTION IN KYOTO

The Moxy Hotel in Kyoto is an excellent and affordable option for accommodation in the city. Located across from Nijo Station and very close to Nijo Castle, it's convenient for getting around the city and exploring some of the surrounding attractions.
I definitely recommend the Moxy Hotel in Kyoto.

Good location, clean rooms

The hotel is very close to the train station. The room was clean and comfortable, on the smaller side though.

Pleasant stay

I stayed 2 nights at the Moxy; the hotel is an excellent solution just a few steps from the train station. The rooms are spacious and welcoming, and the cleanliness is excellent.

A modern and spacious jewel (with a touch of Italy!)

The hotel is truly splendid, characterized by a modern and very well-kept design.
The staff proved to be exquisite, in particular the owner who adores Italians and even speaks a little of our language: a welcome that immediately makes you feel at home!
The room is surprisingly spacious by the standards of the Land of the Rising Sun, but the real highlight is the bathroom: simply super! Nothing is missing: a fantastic walk-in shower, the inevitable high-tech Japanese toilet, a nice sink, and even a very practical water dispenser, perfect for refilling water bottles before heading out to explore the city.
