This was our first time in Japan. We stayed at 5 different hotels over 2 weeks and my son and I thought this was the best. Even though the room was quite small to American standards, the bed was very comfortable. The bathrooms and communal showers were clean, private, and exceeded our expectations. It really helped to be able to do laundry at no additional cost. They had water and ice in the lobby. The staff were great. The location was 5-10 minutes from Kyoto Station and easy to find. Overall this was a great place and we would stay there again.

I had a very unpleasant experience regarding luggage storage. Since I had plans that would keep me out late, I confirmed the storage hours with several hotels before finalizing my itinerary.
I was told beforehand that storage was available until the end of the day, but upon checkout, I was informed that the limit was actually 10:00 PM. When I explained that my schedule wouldn't allow me to return by then and showed the message confirming the "end-of-day" policy, the staff member reluctantly agreed to extend it to 11:00 PM.
It was still a tight squeeze, but I managed to return in time. However, while I was organizing my luggage in the common area, I was rushed by a staff member saying, "We're locking up now."
It is unacceptable to have a policy confirmed prior to booking only to have it overturned after checking out.
In the end, they turned off the lights, leaving the area in darkness. Yet, guests continued to come and go from both inside and outside during that time, making it clear to me that I had been lied to get me to leave. Please be aware of this if you need to store your luggage until late.

We stayed at Sakura terrace for a whole week and it was a very pleasant experience. The public bathrooms are cleaner than some private hotel bathrooms!! And all the amenities available are very useful. It was a great location! Getting around Kyoto and elsewhere was so easy due to the stations and bus stops nearby. Would stay here again! Thank you!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

An excellent place for me—perfect in terms of location, cleanliness, facilities, and staff. The team is incredibly kind and professional. The hotel offers various services, including excellent tea. Please make sure to respect and keep the common areas clean, and help the staff by tidying up after using what is offered. The Japanese people are far too loving and respectful not to be respected in return. Thank you for this wonderful experience; I hope to return soon. Thanks by two italians guess
