Staff at the property was super helpful, welcoming and friendly.
Loved the private onsen for relaxation.
Ryokan room was very spacious. Really enjoyed our stay
Walking distance to Dogo Onsen, shops, tram and airport shuttle.

Apparently this is the only wooden inn left in Dogo Onsen.

Apparently the establishment was renovated from an old Japanese-style inn and restaurant. It is indeed an elaborate design, and time passes slowly here.
The interiors of the rooms, designed by artists, are magnificent, but what I liked the most were the lanterns, which were made by a local artist.

Beautiful little Ryokan

Beautiful little Ryokan with only 7 rooms in the Dogo area. We loved our 3 nights and really appreciated the host's style, advice and Hisa's japanese vegetable breakfast. All around are high rise hotels but you won't notice anymore once you're inside of Dougoya.
