Lovely stay near the cruise centre
This hotel is within walking distance to the whirlpool cruise centre . Free parking is located next to the hotel . The hospitality shown here is very good .
At checkin , you do not have to queue . You sit down , help yourself to the free coffee and tea or juices and the receptionist will bring everything for you to sign at the table .
The room had twin beds , very comfortable with good aircon , wifi , shower. They also provided a huge bottle of water free .
Onsen was good , not crowded and there were free popsicles to enjoy after the onsen .
Dinner was arranged at Grill Eight ( see separate review) . The restaurant was about three min walk away which the receptionist kindly leading the way there . It was excellent .
The other guests all had dinner at the hotel . Perhaps we booked very early and the hotel started serving their own dinner but absolutely no regrets eating at Grill Eight .
Breakfast was Japanese only with rice and mainly pickles as well as a hotpot of fish soup .
Didn’t quite enjoy the breakfast - would have preferred sashimi , ikura etc .
Overall a wonderful stay . Nothing was too difficult for the accommodating staff .

Hospitality is exactly
First of all, the front desk staff were very kind and warm and relaxing.
I had imagined that this hotel was not very large, so I thought the room would be small, but I was pleasantly surprised.
The room was more spacious than I had imagined and was perfect.
Of course, the cleanliness was also impeccable.
According to the wife, there was tissue paper in the bathroom, and the amenities were also good, so I felt that the hotel paid close attention to women.
The dinner was very elegant and delicious, using plenty of local ingredients, and the portions were more than enough to satisfy me.
They made rice balls with the leftover Japanese-style paella.
This was also nice.
The breakfast was also full of delicious food, mainly local dried fish (free refills).
As expected of Awaji Island, the onion salad was sweeter than you would expect from onions.
The onions in the miso soup were also excellent, and it contained what seemed to be Naruto wakame seaweed and sea bream fish bones, so it was more of a dish than miso soup.
The rice was also chewy and the moment I took a bite, I said "It's delicious."
It's no wonder there are so many female guests.
This inn is the biggest home run of the year.

It's not worth its price
It was a very small ryokan with only 3 floors of accommodation (first floor as hotel lobby and restaurant while 5th floor as the public bath).
We arrived in the evening and we could immediately smell the food as the lobby counter was right next to the dinner place. Staff was very courteous and helped us with the parking and luggage. We didn’t pick our dinner menu when making the reservation and we guessed our dinner was the standard set. Most dishes are made by seafood. Food was good, but not very impressive. Portions must be sufficient to make you full.
Room was very tiny but luckily clean and tidy. Not much space left after opening two luggage boxes. We went up to the public bath in the rooftop and as the scale of the ryokan was small, there were not too many ppl and you could enjoy onsen quietly.
The hotel locates very closely to the pier for whirlpool sightseeing boats like just 2-3 mins walk away which is a very famous tourist spot for visiting Awajishima or Naruto.
Will not recommend to friends and family as given such price, we have tried much more better ryokans in other places in Japan.

清潔な部屋・温泉そして美味しい料理
淡路島の南にある福浦港（うずしおクルーズが出る港）にほど近い宿です。
近年改装されたようで、建物や部屋など大変きれいでした。宿の規模はこじんまりしているのですが、泊った部屋はゆったりとしていてとてもくつろげました。
食事には期待していたのですが、期待通り間違いありませんでした。楽しみにしていた魚介類も味しくて目・舌・鼻で美味しさを満喫しました。
