Different kind of hotel from the usual run-of-mill kinds. Located close to some major landmarks of Nagasaki like the Glover Garden. At the same time area around the hotel is very quiet. Tram and bus stations very close by. Very good varied breakfast.

The Japanese style breakfast was excellent; there were a few choices for the western taste as well. The hotel has a good restaurant , Amalia for lunch and dinner. The neighborhood was great; easy walk to Grover Garden ( many shops around) and Chinatown ( opposite direction) also with many shops and restaurants.
The hotel was nicely decorated with a Spanish colonial flair.
We appeared to be the only westerners in the hotel. Staff was excellent and went out of their way to be helpful; their English was limited. The television had many options but it was all in Japanese.

Very comfortable. I’d like to choice this hotel again.
One of the most important things for me was meeting with good staff who could give valuable information.

Staff was super friendly, arrange a pick up taxi the morning we were leaving and loaned us umbrellas. Cleaned the room nicely too.

The location was perfect, on a quiet street with cafes, restaurants, shops, and a welcoming bar. Very close to bus stops. The hotel breakfast is mostly Japanese style, with a smaller assortment of Western items such as yogurt and pastries. The staff was kind and very helpful.
