Difficult to find, and scary

We stayed in the annex (bekkan). Really nice accommodation, plenty of hot water, heating/cooling, even a washing machine and cooking facilities. Most welcome.
However, it had (for us) major drawbacks. Firstly, IF you can find it among the maze of narrow Nishiyama streets. It took us over an hour!
Then, parking is a problem. If you have anything longer than a 2 metre car, it will stick out into the road.
Next are the ladder-like stairs to the second floor. Night time visits to the loo may break your neck!.
But perhaps the biggy is NO INTERNET in the annex.
Oh, and don't step outside on the downstairs balcony. There isn't one!
Only an unguarded 10 metre drop! If you can see past these, then not a bad stay.
