Good value for money accommodation

My husband and I stayed here with our Labrador. The building certainly has a sense of history, but the rooms are clean and we were grateful to be able to have dinner in our room. The specialty, sea bream shabu-shabu, was very delicious. There may not be many lodgings these days that offer such good value for money. Breakfast is served in the dining room, but dogs are allowed. There is an elevator in the building, but the first floor is a parking lot, so you will need to use the stairs to get to the second floor where the front desk is. Please be aware of this if you plan to use the facility.

五つ星だワン

こんなにペットにストレスのない宿は初めてです。
This is very special accommodation for our buddy.
人にとってはもっと高級旅館があるかもしれませんが、ベットにとってはここが五つ星です。
There are so many other five stars accommodations for us but this is the one for our pets.
特にベットによくしてくださるわけではないのですが、部屋でもフロントでも、朝食でも犬や猫が特別の存在ではなく、普通にすごく自然に家族のメンバーとして、誰も気にしないでくださるのが、本当にうれしかったです。
No one pay any extra attention to them.
They are there as they are at home.
ペットがいなくても、アットホームだし、とても一生懸命なサービスに心打たれる宿だと思います。
You can enjoy here even without pets.

It's the best season of visiting Naruto-Eddy in spring

When I stayed in Mizuno ryokan with my German friend, I brought him to Uzu-no-Michi in Naruto.
He said he had never watched the eddy.
It was autumn and good season for watching the Eddy, but I heard the best season was spring.
It was due to the turning of the tide.
We went to Uzu-no-michi by a public bus from JR Naruto station. Mizuno ryokan gave us driving
to JR Naruto station by their own car without a fee.
About 20 minutes from JR Naruto, we ariived at Uzu-no-Michi in English the way of eddy. We paied 500 yen for one person, and entered Uzu-no Michi on the great Naruto bridge 45m from the sea. We could see many kinds of eddy from big windowes of the bridge's floors. My friend was
surprised to see them and still now he says it gave him really the strong impression.
We couldn't get on the sightseening cruise of the eddy, but if you want to get it, it's easly. It is 2000 yen for one. It's better to make sure the cruise's time tables. Because the best tide tables of the eddy are changing daily.

Are you interested in 88temples pilgrimage?

I brought my German friend to Naruto city in Tokushima prefecture and stayed in Mizuno ryokan.
And we visited at the first temple Ryozan-ji of Shikoku 88 temples. Mizuno ryokan brought us to
JR Naruto station with their car(free), and we got a train to Ikenotani and transfered of next train to Bando. It was not so far from Naruo station.
At near the station,we could meet some volunteers who gave us some sweets and tea. They helped and supported for 88temples pilgrimage, we herad. And all Shikoku area has been doing it from old times. My German firend was filled with admiration about it.
Ryoza-ji was built in 729~748, but some parts of temple were destroyed twice by fire. It was lucky we could see the original and rebuilt buildings of the temple now. It was so impressive!!
We got an imformation about German House in near here,Bando by Mizuno ryokan.
After the first World War, about 1.000 German soldiers were hold in Bando Camp and they stayed for two years. During they stayed, the village people and soldiers developed good friendship. Soldiers built German briges , baked German bread and cake, and tought the Western music to village's people. They sung and listened Beethoven No.9 here at the first time in Japan. We could see their memorial things in German House(museum). We could know Lueneburg and Naruto city has been keeping as a sister relationship for a long time.
If you visit Rozan-ji, please notice this German House!!

nice veiw!

I brought my German friend and stayed one days. We could enjoy beautiful veiws from our room.
It was so nice and my friend was glad so much from morning to evening.Their staffs were very kind for us, even they couldn't speak English well.
Their Japanese foods were traditional, and our friend tasted it joyfully, although he ate sashimi:row
fish first time. It was very fresh and good tast.
I heard about this ryokan where Showa Empere and Heishei Empere and Empress stayed.
They didn't advertised it showy, so we didn't know it before visiting. We could get good chance.
With thanks.
