loved it! loved the food!

We weren't sure what to expect from this ryokan. But we just loved it. The highlight was the food. We probably had the best meal in all of Japan here. It was elaborate, lots of seafood, beautifully presented in our own private dining room. We were overwhelmed! The staff were very friendly and helpful. They don't speak much English, and I don't speak much Japanese, but we got by. The room was very comfortable. I thought it was really good value for the experience.
The bathrooms are shared and quite traditional.

Simple ryokan with very good service

Simple, rather austere ryokan. Service is excellent. Food is very good. Kept spotlessly clean. Located in an old part of the centre of town near a dingy bar area.

花咲蟹を堪能しました

根室にある純和風の昭和の薫り漂う旅館です。
夕食には大きな花咲蟹が１人に１杯ずつついていました。
以前に釧路で食べて以来、久しぶりの花咲蟹を堪能しました。殻にはハサミが入れてあり、食べやすくしてあります。
重いスーツケースを持っていったのですが、２階まで運んでいただき、申し訳なかったです。

昔ながらの旅館

昔ながらの旅館。設備は古く昭和の感じが漂う旅館。スタッフの応対も古き良き時代の感じで好感度大。食事は根室だけあって満足な内容。

食事が旨いです

今回は夕食付きで２泊しました。
1日目は花咲カニ、銀ダラで２日目はたらば蟹ときんきでした。他に地物がたくさん出ますがちょうど食べきれる量でどれも新鮮で味も最高。ボタン海老は甘く美味しいです。
根室に来たらまた泊めて頂きたくなる宿でした。
