Dream Japan

Japan style room, very large, nice and comfortable, overlooking the greenery, onsen available until midnight, friendly staff and around the beautiful Nikko with its mountains. A beautiful moment in our journey. Prices completely justified given the quality.

Almost Perfect

“Almost Perfect”
Hotel location is good, steps away from the central view area, while away from the dust; Shuttle Bus on time; Food is abundant and delicious. The hotel service is generally good, especially the restaurant service; the front desk is equipped with fluent staff from Nepalese English, warm and attentive, but there is a young Japanese male front desk employee (should be called***, when there was no clear sign, please teach the attendance colleagues when check out, maybe wrong), seemed very polite, I initially asked him to book dinner for his family two days later, he was impatient to use the reactor to say can not order! The next day I asked the lovely, polite waitress to book an annual dinner, everyone spent a pleasant night, and again expressed gratitude Please teach your store management, why will there be such a big gap between your staff? Does that young male front desk employee have your privileges to treat guests badly?

DO NOT STAY HERE

Do not stay here. I lived in a Japan for years and have traveled around the country. I’ve stayed in many traditional Japanese inns. This was the worst.
The location is good and so are the hot spring facilities. But there are a lot of choices for travelers seeking hot springs and a decent location.
The good was mediocre and lacked good taste and variety.
The cut of meat for the Shabu Shabu was inferior.
The lounge pleas dead at night.
The staff was not helpful and could not accommodate simple requests. One other foreign family asked someone at the front desk to turn the heat down (the rooms were in fact really hot). The request to do something was ignored.
Here was my real negative experience. Three months before I out stay, I realized I accidentally double booked my stay. I sent an e-mail requesting the hotel cancel one of the reservations. They did not. When I arrived, they wanted me to pay an extra $1,000 for two nights for a room I did not need or want. This led to a major argument at the front desk during check in. We were tired and in was delayed by over an hour. I eventually agreed to pay for one night ($500). I had no choice because I had already paid for the other room. This was a total rip off. They should do the right thing and refund my credit card. Clearly, someone had overlooked my e-mail and they were covering their own mistake.

Great Location, Great Onsen

The room was unexpectedly small, but nothing was missing. There are plenty of parking spaces, and the staff was very polite. The location is excellent—just a 5-minute walk to the magnificent Senso-ji Temple and 5 minutes to the edge of Nikko’s main street. The outdoor onsen was amazing.
Overall, a great stay despite the small room.

Although located at the Nikko town centre, the area is a bit quiet with not many shops around. It is closed to the Kanman-ga-fuchi Abyss. Hotel room is big, and the river view is excellent. The onsen is good. Besides traditional inside & outside onsen, there is also jaccuzi style pool. The dinner and breakfast are also taste good.
