What a treat it was to stay here. An adventure to get there and magnificently located. Food was plentiful and Japanese style a one would expect.

A quiet and charming Japanese inn; their food was good, and the room was old but clean.
However, we would have liked more Japanese ryokan services. There was not much interaction with anyone at the hotel during the stay. We expected to get Japanese-style services and hospitality during our stay... none in the lobby, in the dining room, or when we left the inn. It was very unusual for the type of accommodations. We feel cold, impersonal services.

we spent 6 weeks doing a road trip... stayed at many Ryokans along the way including many of the famous onsen towns. This was the best .. not an easy place to get to but well worth the time and effort. WONDERFUL

Next to bus station. Really nice atmosphere. Nice staff. Traditional Japanese style room. Really nice and spacious. Dinner and breakfast are both superb. Great place to stay.
