Thank you very much for your wonderful and detailed review.
We are truly honored that you experienced the food culture of Shiga Omi, the nature overlooking Lake Biwa, and the long history of our hot springs through all five senses. Your words beautifully express exactly what we hope our guests will feel during their stay.
We are delighted that you enjoyed the panoramic view from the rooftop open-air bath, especially the peaceful atmosphere at night. Lake Biwa has different expressions throughout the day and seasons, and we are glad you could appreciate its quiet beauty.
It is also a great pleasure to know that you enjoyed our seasonal Kyoto-style kaiseki cuisine at Dining Sazanami. Our chefs carefully select ingredients such as certified Omi beef, Omi duck, local vegetables, and fresh seafood, preparing each dish to highlight the natural umami of the region. Your appreciation of the flavors, presentation, and thoughtful composition of the course means a great deal to our culinary team.
From the Omi beef shabu-shabu prepared with our special bonito broth to the rice grown in Shiga and the locally crafted miso and pickles, we are proud to share the blessings of our land and water. We are grateful that you felt the lingering charm of our ryokan — a place of quiet depth rather than flashiness.
We sincerely hope to welcome you again so you can continue to discover the nature, culture, and cuisine of Omi in every season.
Thank you once again for your heartfelt review.

The shuttle will pick u up from a station! Really great all around stay! Food is little for dinner but still good. Public baths are less busy in the early afternoon from my experience.

Yumotokan is well run. From the moment we arrived at the Ogoto Onsen station for pick-up, to dropping us off at the end of out stay, the staff was friendly and courteous. The baths were amazing and the food was delicious. Highly recommend the ketone rooms with the private baths!

Amazing. Seems expensive, but what you get is amazing. Spend the extra Yen and get a floor in the Luxury floors. VIP lobby, foot bath. Private in-room onsen. Dinner and breakfast. Great view of Lake Biwa. The nicest place I have ever stayed in. Free pickup and return to the train station.

Having a private bath in the patio was great. Staff was courteous and friendly, the food was excellent, and having three different open air hot spring was a plus. Ideal for solo travelers.
