My first night in Japan 2024 Trip. In a faraway county. Very peaceful.
I drove there alone in the darkness. Thought that there might be very few people there.
But I met so many grandmas stayed there as a large group. Met them in onsen too. Very strange experience but very touch. Can feel of aging society.
The ryokan guys also booked a local izakaya for me, so I had dinner easily, no need to nervous there won’t be a seat.
The Room was so nice and big. Many hidden rooms inside.
Would be much better if they haven’t prepared ice water for me during early winter. (I need normal temp water or hot water)
Breakfast was great
Overall was great
I love this place. Very relax and no tourist.
I spent the morning in a small garden in front of the hotel alone. Listen to water sound. Recharged my energy.

I loved the Japanese style room. Very clean and bright. Dinners were great with nicely presented dishes. I enjoyed the sashimi the most as they were very fresh.
The staff, although didn’t speak much English, tried very hard to assist. With the Google translate function, we got by without much problem.
The onsen was also very good and well maintained.

Satisfied with hot springs and food

It was a bigger hotel than I expected. It just didn't feel crowded.
I found that there were many kinds of dinner and breakfast, and they were carefully cooked.
The hot springs were created slowly at just the right temperature.
I was concerned about the fact that the bathroom and toilet were separate and it was a little difficult to use the room where I stayed.

I want to repeat it

It was my first trip to Aomori in several years, and staying at Fujiya was the perfect way to end the trip.
The service was attentive and polite. Both dinner and breakfast were of high quality with no cutting corners. The bath was also excellent, including the quality of the water.
The viscous hot spring water left my skin smooth after a bath. The open-air bath was very good.
The view of the mountain stream from the guest room was also great.
The warmth unique to Aomori could be felt in every word the staff said, and it warmed my heart.
Aomori is a bit far away, but I would like to make time to return.

Excellent food.

Stayed 3 nights at Fujiya hotel for cherry blossom season which luckily Hirosaki blessed us with. The rooms are huge but very, very plain. There is no internet in the rooms only in the foyer which is the first time I have ever came across this...very annoying whilst you are travelling. The service was of course excellent and very helpful staff who don't actually speak any English but that's our problem as we don't know enough Japanese. And hence a big thank you to Kiyoshi san who English is very good. The food was also excellent and great value for the price with a great dining crew. Have done 3 journeys to Japan and for the price of these meals they are some of the best.
