Accommodation

It was my first time staying at a guesthouse, and the atmosphere really made me feel like I was overseas!! The interior was stylish, and I felt it was a great place for people to connect with each other. I would definitely like to go again if I have the chance. This time I stayed on the second floor, but next time I would like to eat on the first floor. There are a lot of foreigners using it, so I felt it was a place where you could have rare experiences. The atmosphere was different from a normal hotel, and it was really nice.

Good times in this cosy hostel

Our stay at Waya was very smooth and great fun, all we needed for a few days away in Sapporo. It's perfectly sized to feel comfortable. The self service breakfast and amenities options right at hand make it feel like a little home.
On top of it we were kindly welcomed by Eve, who was very helpful and friendly, and of great advice for our evening out!
Little curtains around the beds are always appreciated :)

Bed bugs!

Bed bugs crawling and biting a lot :(
And when I told the staff they didn't care! Not all of the staff speaks english by the way. And the location is not that close to the city center or to a subway station.

Waya, the greatest hostel

I've been hostel hopping through all of Japan and honestly the level of the hostels is quite high here in my oppinion. The Waya hostel however has a feeling like it is a home. Staff is just the most amazing ever, in special the manager Keisuke, such a great guy. It feels like they are not just staff but they are your friends!
So all in all this is the best hostel, go here!

Cosy place with friendly staff

I stayed here for one night and had a great experience. It's quite small so feels like you're staying with a family. If you stay here you can be sure there are new friends there waiting for you. It was fun to hang out with the staff and guests alike. Kei was great and really made me feel welcome and was willing to help me with whatever I needed.
