A spacious hotel

Great location near the airport and the main area of the island. Rooms are spacious with amenities. There is a small shop just right outside the hotel for a quick bite and local specialities. There is also a restaurant in the hotel. You can purchase the certificate for visiting the southernmost point of Japan here and also rent a bike to go around.

Unclear whether to reopen

It remains closed.
I asked some locals, but they were unclear as to whether it would reopen or not.
It appears that it was once used as a call center, but there was no one there at the moment. The souvenir shop in front, which appears to be run by the same company, has also closed and is starting to decay.
It's a shame, as this was apparently the only hotel on Yonaguni Island.

Good for those who can read Japanese

Almost best hotel on Yonaguni Island. Good facilities, kind staffs and good location. The only thing I want the hotel to add is the information/instructions for the foreign guests. The hotel will have more reputations if they have at least English guidance.

Pretty much the only hotel on the island

I spent a couple nights at the Ailand Hotel Yonaguni. It's about 1km from the airport and they do very easy hotel+car rental packages. My car was ready upon landing as was my room. With only 3 flights per day to the island, it's pretty easy to tell when the guests will turn up at the hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable, but the beds are the hardest I've ever experienced. My room had a nice view of the hillside and the sugar factory down the road. Dependable wifi is available in the lobby. This really is the only hotel on the island. A good place for a couple days, though a couple of the minshukus/b&bs look promising as well. The hotel is a short walk/drive to the Nanta Hama beach. Any place on the island is accessible within about 30 minutes.
