They're kind, especially the lady. The island is a dream. However, for the price, you could find better value, otherwise it's a good alternative. There are only two of them, and they work very hard.

The Best Inn

I was worried when I saw the reviews.
They're both very nice people.
I was comfortable.
He was a very kind husband, and he brought things all the way to the port.
Next time you visit Zamami

Stay a while to soak it all in

We only stayed one night but could have stayed at least a couple more. The cafe attached to the guesthouse has a relaxing atmosphere, with soft music playing in the background, and an eclectic mix of cozy chairs, tables and sofas are situated near a cute rounded counter and shiny black piano.
Our room was spartan but perfect. We chose tatami mats and futon bedding for a traditional experience.
After the beach, you are able to use the outdoor foot shower or enclosed shower to get the sand off. Very convenient service, available even after check-out.

The good
Nice and helpful staff who speak enough English
Shower inside the room
Shower outside the room for once you have checked out if you need it
Location close to port (about 2 minutes by walking)
Tatami rooms nice novelty
Cannot comment on the food or drinks since we didnt eat here
Small kitchenette inside the room
Ammenities provided in bathroom
Villa has wifi
Bathroom is clean
The bad
The price (paid over 11000yen per room per night when booked online)
Wifi is weak and not working anywhere beyond the lobby and terrace
You will not get anything extra despite paying a high price to stay (ie. They wont even lend you an extra towel for the beach and they dont allow room towels taken out of the room, beach towels are 300yen to borrow)
Bathroom quite small not even room to move your arms inside
Nothing in the kitchenette (not even tea or a bottle of water)

Wonderful little hotel!

Cha Villa was my home far far away from home when I visited the beautiful island of Zamami. I was travelling this last week of my vacation alone and the staff, especially Tomoko-san, made me feel like a friend and family! The little apartment was very clean and comfortable with air conditioning and a fridge. The garden of the hotel is a little oasis where you can sit with a cup of hot tea or a cold beer and sum up your adventures of the day. The little café in the lobby serves snacks and drinks and is great for a bit of "western style" breakfast if you fancy it. The location is great 2 minutes from the port but still close to walk to Furuzamami and Ama beaches. I would recommend Cha Villa to everyone and hope to come back here soon!
