Lodging in Jersey

Great location right on the waterfront and about 10 minutes walk to the old town or ferry port.
Very large room with kettle, cocoa, coffee sticks and tea bags. Further facilities include a safe, fridge, ironing board, fluffy bath towels and good toiletries. Wi-Fi works very well.
Trendy lobby and good breakfast buffet.

Attentive staff and lovely stay

Initially I was apprehensive about staying here as I had seen reviews about the renovations however my experience was great. We booked a year in advance so weren’t aware of the renovations when we booked. At check in the staff were very attentive, they gave us some complimentary jersey fudge and a glass of Prosecco each. They also upgraded us without additional cost to a business class room with a sea view. The location was great, facilities were great and staff were very accommodating. We used the pool facilities which we enjoyed, sadly the sauna was out of use but otherwise it was a faultless stay. Coffee machine and bathtub in the room, I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

For the price, no slippers, no drinks in the fridge, no biscuits and having to put up with the noise of the building work. But the view was amazing.

I was somewhat annoyed that neither Hotels.com or the hotel gave us any warning about the long-term renovations which must have been planned when we made our reservation a long while back - we were informed 10 days before our arrival! That said, we were upgraded into a room with a sea view and experienced no problems - we were out of the hotel 09.00-18.00 Thurs-Mon. The room was spacious with a great view across the bay, clean, comfortable bed, kettle & drinks, quiet fridge, quiet a/c, effective black-out curtains & private bathroom. Wifi fine, large TV. Only niggles with the room were the smoke/fire detector at night flashing up in the ceiling a bit like a disco & weak water pressure in the shower. Staff were helpful & friendly. Breakfast well stocked with a good range. Parking plentiful. The Terrace is open but restricted due to the building works & we were unable to find seating in the shade on our 2 attempts to use it.
The hotel is about 10 mins walk (via the gap by the commercial swimming pool & pizza restaurant nearby). The ferry to Elizabeth castle is about 5 mins walk. We found it easy enough to walk in & out of town or to drive around the island from the hotel. Good position to walk to the Battle of Flowers arena along the Esplanade. Would be happy to stay again if in the area.

Despite the slightly disruptive building work this hotel stay was excellent and I would recommend it to anyone with great facilities, great staff and a really good location overlooking the marina and/or beach 👍
