Comfortable and essential

We spent a night in a group before the trip to Mangystau and a few hours afterward just to shower and rest a bit. Simple hotel in a Soviet-style neighborhood, Spartan breakfast served in groups because the dining room is small and you have to wait for it to clear and for the food to be restocked. Ideal for overnight stays given the low costs

Oasis of rest...after days of tent

A bit 'peripheral not far from the sea. Some supermarkets and restaurants (especially the Georgian "Kaheti", a few hundred meters) in the surroundings. Modern and comfortable structure at low cost.

For smart occasions

Simple hotel for an equally simple rest.
Decentralized compared to the commercial area, great for passing occasions.
The lobby is well maintained; rooms pay years and some non-renovation.
Too much carpeting for my taste; bathroom with curtain but hot water, almost boiling, in abundance.
Wi-Fi available, better in public areas, for simple and not too complex transmissions.
The staff does not speak English.

Unprepared for foreign tourism

The hotel is located a few steps from the Aktau waterfront and a very good Georgian restaurant (Kaheti Café); it has spacious rooms equipped with air conditioning but not a stocked minibar. In addition, the electrical outlets are located far from the bedside tables and the bed, forcing you to charge your devices in an uncomfortable position. More than anything else, the reception staff is unprepared to handle foreign tourists: poor knowledge of the English language, lack of city maps and useful advice on what to visit (beyond the beaches on the Caspian Sea that are not at all inviting). Recommended for a short break.
