Okay for business stay, not really for leisure

Hotel location is a solid 10. In radius of 2km around you would find everything you need for a trip.
The buffet for breakfast was ok but nothing change in 6 days i stayed there. In conclusion you will find it boring from the third day staying there.
The staff was helpful, nice view and great atmostphere.

Centrally located and all-around terrific, the Almaty Hotel was a great place to stay. The lobby is a bit underwhelming, but the room was very nice—clean, spacious, and comfy—and the breakfast bar (which even has a whole outdoor seating area) was absolutely stellar. Very nice hotel for a first-time-to-Almaty stay.

The building exudes a sense of history, yet the interior is well-maintained, and the rooms were clean and perfectly fine.
The city-view room offered a panoramic view of Almaty, which was excellent.
The bathroom was clean, the shower had hot water, and there were no issues whatsoever.
Breakfast offered a wide variety of options and was delicious.
Since my stay was very short this time, I wish I could have enjoyed the hotel a little more.
If I ever go back, I would definitely stay here again.

Great hotel, terrible customer service

The hotel is beautiful the rooms are modern and clean, the views are amazing, the bed is comfortable, breakfast is great. It's well worth the price.
The customer service is horrible. When trying to book for my family customer service took ages to reply and did not provide important information. When my family got there they had to argue at reception for the room they had booked through booking.com, despite having evidence of the booking. Reception tried to tell them the room they booked was not available, but after arguing for some time they were in fact taken to the room they had booked. Reception also told them this was 'not their problem'. On the last night they were woken 3 times by plumbers due to a suspected leak in the room. They then woke up to no water at all. The hotel would not allow them to shower in another room, so they had to get on an early flight with little sleep and unwashed. Reception refused them a refund for the last night!
They really need to sort their customer service out.
