Sophisticated 15 room hotel next to Karagandy Arena.

My wife and I stayed 2 nights. Arriving by train from Astana, a $3 taxi ride brought us 5 km to this new hotel surrounded by the 2011 Hockey, Tennis, and Boxing School, of which this hotel is attached.
The English speaking receptionist quickly checked us in and provided our key card, directing us to the carpeted hall and our #112. The large modern room had a single duvet queen with desk and chair, TV above (CNN, BBC, Euro News), refer below, large closet, and fully outfitted bathroom.
The 7 AM buffet breakfast included choices from an Apple I Pad Menu where we chose Rice/Semolina Porridge and Fried Eggs/Omelet. served in a formal lounge-type setting.
We walked to the new KFC 400 meters south (across the huge flagpole) and the Korzina Supermarket 700 meters to the east. Receptionist provided taxis for ~$3 rides to Independence Square, Zoo Park, then the Central Mosque.
For us, this first class hotel is quiet, in the center of the new city, and offers good value at ~$52/night.

Nice hotel in an boxing building!

New looking hotel with nice rooms. The walls are thin (as all walls in new hotels) and you can unfortunately your neighbors quite good, some for the corridor. The matratz isn’t that good. You can feel on both sides the springs! Low quality or old? Don’t know.

Excellent

I was there for business during two days.
Excellent hotel, big clean rooms and very quiet.
Very nice and kind team at the reception.
I did not try the restaurant or the breakfast so no comment on this.

Hotel restaurant

I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. I haven't been to the hotel, but went to the restaurant to have a cup of coffee. So the waitress said they would serve coffee if only I had a set of breakfast. What a nonsense?? I've been to many places around the world, but never encountered such a stupidity. What if I am not hungry? They say this is a hotel restaurant, that's they can't serve coffee. I'll never take my friends or guests to this hotel and I would never recommend it to anyone else. The service at the restaurant is next to zero.

Friendly but soulless

A strange place built on a sports complex on the edge of Karaganda. Nothing going on, so the place was very quiet- fine for our purposes because we were working funny hours. There are just a few (comfortable) rooms here. But that does mean there aren't many people in the restaurant and bar so don't expect loads of atmosphere. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
