A little paradise in Watamu

A little paradies in Watamu!
We felt so much home in the Marijani Holiday Resort.
Bui, Peter and the team were so warm hearted, showed us around the town and Malindi, Bui gave us so many good recommendations.
Thanks much to the whole team, you do a great job! We had an unforgetable time there.

Highly recommended!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for ten days. It's a quiet and clean place, and the staff are always helpful. It's just a stone's throw from the beach, so the location is really convenient.
There is a swimming pool, a gym and a pool table for guests to use, and a chef is available upon request. The staff were very friendly and willing to meet our needs. For example, when we asked for mosquito repellent, they brought it to us right away, and when our telephone cable broke, they immediately called a tuk-tuk to take us to buy a new one.
The sheets and common areas were clean.
The hotel is still partly under construction, so there were workers around, but they did not disturb our stay at all. We were greeted every day with a big smile and a few minutes of chat. Highly recommended!

Rose House family stay

We stayed at Rose House which is a three bedroom family cottage on the grounds of the Marijani Hotel. We did not visit the hotel but can highly recommend Rose House as an affordable family option. The swimming pool which is shared with the hotel is big and really beautiful, and clean. Perfect for evening swim after a day at the beach. The house itself is well furnished, with big bathrooms, and the housekeeping keeps it immaculate. Water was very hot from the solar heater, though on our third day the flow mysteriously stopped. WiFi is good enough for the kids to stream. Power went off but a technician quickly came to reconnect it. Bui made us a really tasty seafood dinner. Staff were friendly and attentive. There are also three friendly and attentive small dogs. The location is a couple of minutes from the beach though not Watamu’s best beaches. Those are accessible with a tuk tuk ride. The in town location is a couple of minutes walk from some of Watamu’s nicest restaurants, ice cream, grocery, chemists etc. Definitely a nice place for a stay with family and though we spent only a few days I would imagine really good for long stays to explore Watamu and Kilifi.

Great location

Stayed two nights while on a fishing trip. Quiet and serene environment to unwind.
Great proximity to the beach, shops and restaurants.
Clean rooms and pool. Hospitable host.
Resort has it’s own Tuktuk and motorcycle if you need to move within the town.
Working WiFi.

Honest Experience

1.The place Is at a very good location proximity to the beach and also near the shopping center.However the Staff running the place are the worst.Very unfriendly and give you the feeling and look when-willl you-be leaving.
2;White guests are given preferential treatment
3.We were forcefully upgraded to a " Better room" only to discover it was aplan to check in another special guest who was coming,probably because they were better paying or they overlooked our check out dates
4. Manager is not present at the hotel...has a side business at some beach,he has delegated the resort to some untrained staff who are unmotivated.
5.Slow response to broken down amenities in some rooms
