Great hotel. The gym was good, but they opened up later than scheduled. Their restaurant was good and there are other restaurants across the street. The rooms were excellent. Safe area. Beautiful hotel too.
The cons: WiFi was weak in the second room that I was given. It was strong in the UZI building, so request that building. The pillows were not good. They did not provide shampoo, but I brought my own anyway.

Two restaurants, a gym and a swimming pool on premises. Shops and restaurant right across the street.
Staff very helpful and took care of any issue I had right away. Rooms cleaned any 2 days of the week.Fairly priced rooms. Very quiet. I'll stay there again.

Stunning Craftsmanship Being Lost to Poor Oversight
The Good:
The King Post is architecturally unique, and the woodwork throughout the property is genuinely impressive. It is clear that significant capital and artistry went into the initial build.
The Reality:
Unfortunately, the property is currently suffering from visible neglect. The building’s exterior envelope is in dire need of concrete repairs and painting, giving it a "used" and forgotten feel. Inside the King Suite, the experience was further marred by a terrible mattress; a hotel of this caliber must invest in quality sleep.
The Service Failures:
The room was poorly prepared, missing basic essentials like towels, soap, dish soap, and garbage bags. Furthermore, the café was missing half of its breakfast ingredients—an inexcusable logistical failure considering there is a Carrefour literally across the street.
The Root Cause:
When I asked for the manager, staff informed me they only visit about once a week. This explains everything. In the hospitality industry, constant supervision and rigorous maintenance standards are the only things that prevent a property from deteriorating. Without an active management presence, the standards have clearly slipped. It would be a tragedy to see such a beautiful, high-capital investment continue this decline.

I loved the place that I extended my stay there. The rooms are very cozy with Lamu style furnishing. The gym is fully equipped as well as a nice spacious studio. The pool area is very pretty but the pool is a little dirty and would be better if there was a pool bed. The staff were super friendly. They were helpful and made my stay very comfortable. The area is in a very convenient location with supermarkets and restaurants along the same road and easy access to the Westlands, Lavington and Riverside areas. I highly recommend it and I will definitely be back again.
