Very well located guest house , clean rooms and
bathrooms, best value of money , 5 star breakfast and food , the owners are very friendly and helpful , i fully

Friendly cosy place to stay

Right next to the morning market and a very short walk to both the river front and the night market, Manichan is ideally situated. Peter, the owner, is great - very friendly and a very good cook! His meals are amazing and very good value. It’s nice sitting of an evening round the big table outside with Peter and other guests chatting. The rooms are fairly basic, although the bed was comfortable. Pillow was rock hard!!! Also there is no hot water in the basin and the shower is only warm in the afternoon if you keep the pressure to a trickle. If these plumbing issues were revised then it really would be so excellent. However, it is very reasonable, and Peter is a good host. I would stay again.

Great place to stay.

My partner and I walked in and were lucky enough to get a room. It’s in a wonderful old house with lovely wooden floors. We had a very warm welcome when we arrived and Andy was very helpful when we had to sort some things in town. It very much felt like staying in someone’s home.
The location is nestled between the northing market and the Mekong!
The highlight in Breakfast! Theres great cafes and restaurants in town but great to have a good breakfast at the start of the day. Homemade jam, good bread, homemade yogurt plus a hot option. Plus good coffee and great selections of tea!

Good but not excellent

The owners were really helpful and the breakfast was super good. My room was comfy and clean, it was ok but not a "wow". I would suggest more details on decorations would make it cosier, maybe to change the blankets for duvets to get more feeling of cleanliness, the area upstairs maybe to make it a relaxing place to also enjoy for the guest instead of a storage. These are just suggestions. My stay was good and also the location excellent. A bit of noise coming from the morning market early morning but not the guest house fault.
