Unique!

Historic building very close to the palace at Rundale. Unique, well-equipped rooms, very friendly service, free parking and good breakfast and price.
Enjoyed our stay there very much! Definitely recommended!

Not worth the money. Rooms need a deep clean. No AC. Poor water pressure. Poor sound isolation, loud neighbours.

Not a great stay, rooms feel stuffy and the higher in the house your rooms is, the less fresh air you can get. Small windows so unless there is a lot of wind, it’s hard to get any fresh air in. Blinds are basically nonexistent, the morning light shines right though, and not much privacy in the evenings. Bathroom with shower was more like a wet room as the shower is the same level as the floor, the curtain ( that doesn’t close the whole way) is the only thing stopping the water from going everywhere.
Towels and small shower gel packets provided. Soap in dispenser and toilet refresher available. Bathroom sink could use a touch up and the whole room could do with a deep clean. Spider webs and dust in most corners. Extra unnecessary furniture in the room, e.g- huge rocking chair thats not even safe to use.
Kettle and cups/glasses provided, just no tea, coffee or sugar…
Bedside stands with lamps that don’t work.
Old interior that’s meant to be classy but just looks out of place with too many extra unnecessary things around the room.
No screen in the room.
Very loud on the weekends with functions happening downstairs in the cafe, bad sound isolation, loud, drunk neighbours. Surprised the owners didn’t come to tell them to be more respectful.
Definitely not worth the price they ask for, good for a night,max 2, but definitely not any longer than that.
Poor water pressure, hot water switches off completely or goes cold.
No AC unit or fan available.
One positive- big enough bed- a large king.

Amazing place

This place is amazing. Its close to Palace. The yard is so nice we spend all evening just sitting in the sun. Dog had fun relax on the grass near pond. Thre is swings and batut for kids. You can grill your own food too. It's quite and lovely place with own character. Cottage is old but well maintained. Beds are comfortable. There is plenty what to do in the cottage. Breakfast that is the rock!!! Very fresh and tasty and most importantly value is great. Thank you for having us. We will remember for a long time and definitely will recommend to everyone.

Cozy food

Fine food - served in cozy local guesthaus
Nice personal and we we’re VERY full when we went walking for the Castle nearby
Soup on roots pork with salat and potatoes and ICE with Apple and cinnamon
Also A Nice shop with souvenirs

Super guest house

this hotel/guest house is the former palace servant's house. Completely renovated by the charming owners. It is located on the outer grounds if Rundāles Palace, a leisurely stroll to the museum. Clean and comfortable. Shared shower and bathroom were clean and well appointed. The owner served us homemade apple cake as a snack and gave us a small token gift on departure. Great value for money
