Great value, good location and very clean

Very clean and quiet area in this part of Riga. I had a twin room with shared bathroom. The bathrooms were very clean. The shower was powerful. The communal area was very nice and has some books and info on Riga. A very quick walk to Central station and the markets. Not far from the old town and museums. The bed was comfortable. The room temperature was perfect. The price is very good value.

Owner not taking responsibility for mouldy room

he room I was given stunk like old alcohol and a distinctive smell of moist. I was suspicious of the smell so started to look for the source. Noticed that the wall was looking dirty and wallpaper peeling off. As I looked closer it appeared to be mould. I kept looking around the room and all walls were covered with mould. A mould so colonised that it was thick and in thick layer with different colours. A mould like this doesn’t grow in a short period of time which leads me to think of how many people including me stayed in this toxic place.
Upon contacting them about this issue I was told that they can offer me a dehumidifier and deodoriser. Which is completely unreasonable.
It ended up with the owner not taking responsibility and I had to book a new place for myself.
Luckily booking was able to give me a refund.
Would not stay here again!
And if you still decide to stay here I would suggest thinking about how long it takes to get rid of mould as massive as this and take into consideration the harmful effects mould has when inhaled.

Staying in Riga

I stayed at this property for one night. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable and the price very affordable. The host was very helpful and at check out gave us the opportunity to leave our luggage for a day in the lockers without paying a surcharge. The only downside is that being in a basement in the air you could feel a lot of moisture.

Good spot to see riga at reasonable price

Small but convenient rooms. Big shared kitchen space with refrigerators. Check-in was easy and convenient. Tha place is walking distance from teh city center with all restaurants and clubs, as well as places of interest. No need to use transport. Not far from the airport.

Cheap and simple

Cheap and simple, room was basic but clean and comfortable for a few nights. Easy to find and to get in, thanks to the clear instructions I received. Located a bit out of the central, but everything still reachable by a short walk.
