Great Location -- Great Stay!

I was only in Riga for one night but my stay at the Hotel Draugi (which I found out means "Friend") was very good. It was simple, but it met all my expectations. The hotel is in the Old Town so you are right were you need to be. The room I had was clean, simple, and adequate -- good value. There is the Restaurant Niklavs next door which is where breakfast is served each morning. The buffet was great! I would recommend the hotel for anyone visiting Riga.

Great hotel in a great location

Hotel is located right in the Old Town. Everywhere us walking distance. My room was a good size and very clean. I looked out onto the street and though there were plenty of bars it was nice and quiet. Breakfast was included which made the room rate reasonable and the choice and quality was very good. A great place to stay in Riga.

A great stay

The hotel is centrally located in the old town which is ideal for sightseeing.
Easy check-in and shown straight to the room which was large and spacious. Clean and comfortable although could do with an extra pillow on each bed. Tea and coffee supplies along with a kettle.
Bathroom compact but perfectly good, excellent shower. Plenty of towels provided.
The only negative is although the hotel location is great, directly opposite there are a number of bars and particularly on the Friday night it was extremely loud and to pretty late (our room admittedly was directly opposite so may not be quite so loud elsewhere in hotel) however the hotel pre-empt this and provide ear plugs which was really efficient of them and did the job fine.
Breakfast had a very reasonable selection and good coffee.
Overall an excellent stay especially value for money. Would recommend.

all about location

stayed here three nights on recent trip to riga
check in was prompt and efficient
we had a suite on the third floor... comprised of two large rooms and a nice sized bathroom..was ok
bed was large and comfortable... room was warm and not too hot
we had breakfast one morning which was included and was decent
hotel location is what it is all about...dead centre of the old town and a 2min walk from the many bars and restaurants
overall a very decent stay for the price we paid ...

I like it.

Hotel with excellent location, next to commerce, lots of bars and restaurants and the possibility to see many attractions on foot. Friendly team. Comfortable room with good bed, shower and wi-fi. Very good breakfast, with good variety of items.
