Great value for money, overall good

A very good stay at a pleasant mid-range hotel.
The location is excellent - close to the old town, outstanding transport links, plenty of places to eat and drink nearby and all the amenities you could need. The hotel itself was very good - exceptionally clean, quiet, the staff were pleasant and we very much enjoyed our stay!
We visited the spa which was very nice (although it was unclear on the booking if the cost was additional or included, we did pay extra which wasn’t a problem at all and worth it, but the booking system was quite ambiguous) and the food in the restaurant was very tasty. Overall we enjoyed our stay and thought the Wellton was excellent for the price.
My only feedback which has slightly reduced my score down from excellent - the room got very warm despite the radiators being off, the meals in the restaurant were very small portions (although the food was excellent) and housekeeping didn’t make up or change the beds despite cleaning the room, emptying bins etc which we were surprised at.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would visit again! Would also highly recommend Riga or Latvia in general as a wonderful place to visit and explore!

Panoramic room had a fantastic view, but very restricted head height - and not much room one side of the bed, but was comfortable - if hot as the temperature was in the high 20s. Breakfast was ok, plentiful and no problems getting a table. Lifts were a little cronky, but hotel was convenient for all old town sights, only about 20 minutes walk to the KGB Museum and Art Nouveau properties.

Stayed in a room facing the trams and trains, very noisy - we had to buy earplugs to be able to sleep.
Breakfast room was not nice - no windows. Breakfast quite boring and was not that good.

Extremely great location right by the bus station and central market. Property is a bit dated, bathroom shower knob didn't work too well. Didn't utilize the spa or breakfast which are extra costs. Very convenient to walk around Old Town with lots of cafes and shopping nearby.
