Exceptional Lodging

Had an exceptional stay at the Cape Hotel. Staff from the owner to housekeeping were consistently helpful and caring. The food was excellent, the rooms were comfortable, clean and safe.
This was my second stay in two years and the Cape Hotel never disappoints!!

The absolute gold standard of hospitality in Monrovia

I cannot speak highly enough of The Cape Hotel. Hands down, I have never experienced this level of accommodation and hospitality before in my life. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make my stay exceptional—and they attended to every detail with a genuine smile.
The hotel itself is wonderful: uniquely constructed, thoughtfully decorated, and exceptionally well-maintained. The HVAC works flawlessly, and the showers are reliably hot—comforts that make a world of difference. Safety was never a concern during my stay, giving me total peace of mind.
Location-wise, it’s unbeatable. Generously situated with beautiful views of the water, it’s also within easy walking distance of several other reputable restaurants. But honestly, you might not want to leave the hotel for meals! The on-site restaurant features a Lebanese chef who is absolute perfection—every single meal was phenomenal.
To top it all off, the owner is frequently around, incredibly accessible, and clearly dedicated to ensuring every guest has an unforgettable experience. The Cape Hotel is a true gem, and I would highly recommend it.

highly responsive and guest-oriented service

This hotel was extremely comfortable and clean. The hotel staff were also very helpful, especially Maher. The hotel has a beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean.

Nice hotel, definitely one of the best options in Monrovia. A bit dated in places, but the rooms are pleasant, staff helpful and the public areas are well maintained. Also right next door to Mamba Point, which opens up further good dining options.

Great stay at Cape

I stayed at Cape for one week in May while visiting my father, who is living there for a year. As a Swede, it was my first time in Sub-Saharan Africa, and Cape really made my stay a pleasure.
The cleaning of the room was great, and what’s more, you could get your laundry washed every day. You’d just put it in a bag, and it was clean and folded by the afternoon.
The views are also exceptional. Watching the waves of the Atlantic was so calming. Especially in the mornings, I enjoyed spending some time looking out over the ocean before breakfast.
The pool was another great thing about Cape. At around 20 metres long, I used it both for exercise and for relaxing in the sun.
The staff were super friendly and respectful. They would ask if you wanted pancakes for breakfast and happily make a cappuccino if you asked. Small things like that really added to the experience.
I also felt completely safe as a foreigner staying at Cape. They had security guards on site 24/7, which gave me a lot of peace of mind.
The last thing I have to mention is the owner, Ghassan. He’s a truly great guy and made the place feel very welcoming. He has also taken great care of my father during his long stay.
It’s a shame it’s half the world away, otherwise I would love to return. I would recommend Cape to anyone thinking about travelling to Monrovia.
