Lovely area and stunning views.
Hotel very quiet, with limited staff and not all amenities open (visited in August).
A little disappointed for the costs.

Faded glory!

We used to be here 30 years ago. It was a classy hotel then and I wanted to come back there again. The "class" is gone! The prices don't! Breakfast : 19€/person and this does not look like class. The croissants were super tasty then, the croissants of today were small and dried out earlier. The glasses for fruit juice were dirty, fruit juice came out of bottles, if you wanted an egg, 4.5 to 6.5€ was added, depending on if you wanted something else !! In our bathroom the faucets were old and rather dirty. For me, the hotel was "gone glory". No more next time for me!

The hotel is a bit dated and our room could have done with some extra cleaning, but it was big, the bed was comfy and the mini-fridge was nice. The bath looked liked it had spa functionalities but the start button no longer worked. The self-cleaning functionality did still work, which startled us the first time (loud noises about half an hour after use). We were happy that the outdoor pool was still open.
Most of staff was great, helpful and friendly; except for the lady at check out who had trouble with entering the payment of the previous guests and had an attitude whilst trying to overcharge me for drinks. This left a sour taste in our mouths. We will likely visit the beautiful lake and forrest again, but will choose a different hotel next time.

Medium

We stayed one night in this hotel nestled in the heart of a green setting. The setting is really beautiful, peaceful. For the rest, there are things to review. The rooms are old and overall the hotel lacks maintenance: broken blind, shutter closure system 2 fingers away from release, dirty balcony, outdoor chairs moldy wood, so that if you cut with the white robe, you would think you had ch....in... I would add that our robes were wrinkled, one holed and the other with the belt ring torn off. The terrace of the outdoor pool is no better, the weather worn wood would have deserved a little maintenance and the wooden blades unscrew in some places. One of the steam rooms is noisy with piped noises and the smells that go with it, not to mention the shower tap that remains in your hands. The other steam room smells good essential oils but is not hot enough. Note that no one tells you that Welcoming is necessary to start saunas and steam rooms, when you arrive and think about relaxing, everything is cold. The showers are full of scale and not to mention the buckets of cold water in the sauna, it is better not to look in... The coffee is bitter as is the bill; 8 euros for 2 coffees and 11 euros for 2 bottles of water of 25 cl . It deterred us from eating on site.
263 euros for 1 night, the price is not worth the service. Breakfast is not even included...you have to add 19 euros per person. Oh yes, I was going to forget a detail that still matters. The PQ is coarse and rough . The facility has enormous potential that unfortunately is not being exploited. When it opened in the '80s, it must have been great. Today it seems a little faded, we should review the prices or put the package to give a boost.
