The burger was small. Everything else was just right.
There's a particular kind of restaurant that doesn't announce itself. No concept, no mood board, no attempt to be anything other than a comfortable place to eat. Hotel Brimer in Grundhof is that kind of place, and it pulls it off without making it feel accidental.
The interior is calm and warm. Big windows looking out onto green, simple but considered, the kind of room where you sit down and immediately stop thinking about where else you could have gone. It has that quiet hotel-restaurant confidence that only works when the service matches it, and here it does. The staff were genuinely warm rather than professionally polite, which is a distinction that sounds small and isn't.
The burger was good. Clearly above what "hotel burger" usually implies. Proper bun, the meat and toppings working together rather than just coexisting on a plate, flavour that held up throughout. The fries were simple and fine. The only real complaint is the size. For a burger, it was on the smaller side in a way that was noticeable. Not a dealbreaker given the fair pricing, but you register it.
Dessert was the classic version of itself. Ice cream, whipped cream, chocolate sauce, almonds. Comforting, well executed, exactly the right ending for a meal in a place like this. No surprises, no ambition beyond being good. Just good.
Brimer is the kind of spot you file away for the right occasion. A slow afternoon in the Müllerthal, a lunch where you want to eat well without any fuss around it.

A discovery
Quietly located family hotel, good cuisine and extremely friendly and helpful staff and management. A hotel with a soul, a fixture for generations! A discovery for those who want to visit Luxembourg for a weekend or a week.

The museum of horror and hunting!
I stayed two nights at this hotel and for me who loves animals deeply, it was a real shock.
Along several corridors, we discover on the ground a florilège of stuffed animals (foxes, badgers, wild boars...) as well as on the walls of skulls with deer antlers, heads of sheep and wild boars. A real horror museum, totally inadequate in a hotel.
It is unimaginable that these remains should be displayed in this way, as an apologies for hunting and taxidermy. When I booked, nothing mentioned this staging, otherwise I would never have booked. Having already made a deposit, I stayed anyway.
Pros:
Clean room and bathroom
Good and correct evening dinner
Satisfactory breakfast (even if the coffee is really bad)
Accessible price
Cons:
Absence of air conditioning while it was very hot
Very cramped swimming pool: a paddling pool
Ubiquitous hunting scenery, totally at odds with animal-friendly values
The boss had forgotten that I had paid a deposit of 300 euros!
In conclusion, because of this environment that horrifies me, I will not come back and recommend this hotel to all people who love and respect animals.

Slightly remote at the entrance to the Müllertal
This family run hotel is highly recommended.
• Warm owners,
• good service staff,
• very good breakfast offer,
• good dinner,
• great wellness area with pool and sauna and hammam,
• clean room
• Kettle for the provided tea and (instant) coffee
There are really only little things that would be complainable, maybe a bit old (eg bathroom without separate shower) , no trash in the room, no block and pen in the room.
But that's high-level whining.
For me it was a nice week at this hotel.

A lovely place to stay
This is definitely a top address. Excellent hotel, very friendly welcome, nice, neat room and delicious cuisine. Who really did everything to adapt the dishes to my husband's lactose intolerance. No trouble too much. The packed lunches were fine and after a walk did a swim very well. We will definitely be back
