The hotel is located in a residential area, with block of other hotel a bit outside the city, though a free bus allows you to go in come back easily. The hotel was really busy the days I went, so the lobby was crowded, as the restaurants and other facilities, including the parking, and I am not talking about the elevator (but, not too long waiting). The surrounding is fine for nature, but that's it. You need to get out to find anything else. Room was OK, bit crowded. Staff tried their best, but with such busy come error and mistake, luckily resolved quick. I do recommend overall, but be aware that it is quite isolated.

It was a very big hotel...

I think Hilton is one of the most famous hotels in the world. We stayed overnight on the tour, and it was a very big hotel. The room was neither large nor small, but it was thoroughly cleaned and beautiful. Unfortunately, the bath water didn't come out, the rice and fish weren't delicious for dinner, and the next day the cruise on the Rhine was early, so the departure was at 7am and the meal started at 6.30am and I couldn't eat properly.

Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback regarding your recent stay with us.
We are pleased to hear that you found the hotel clean and well maintained. However, we sincerely apologize for the inconveniences you experienced, particularly with the hot water in the bathroom and the dining experience not meeting your expectations. We also understand how disappointing it must have been to have limited time for breakfast before your early departure for the Rhine River cruise.
Your comments are very important to us, and we will certainly share them with our maintenance and Excecutive Chef to help us improve both our facilities and services.
We truly appreciate your honest feedback and hope we may have the opportunity to welcome you again in the future for a more comfortable and enjoyable experience.
Kind regards,

Nothing exceptional

Huge Soviet-style hotel 5-6 km from downtown, a little understated for a Hilton. Modern and spacious rooms, nice bathroom. Hearty breakfast, restaurant for lunch and dinner expensive and with modest portions. Generally speaking, the quality and attention to detail are a bit lacking, for example the cold boiled eggs from the fridge for breakfast. All in all a decent hotel.

Hotel far from the city centre. Car parking is small given the size of the hotel.
Air conditioning didn’t work properly.
Booked two 3-bed rooms. They were on 7th and 8th floor. Both rooms had interconnecting doors to neighbouring room (guests we didn’t know). You could hear the complete conversations from the neighbouring room. This is despite having requested quiet rooms.
The kids liked the pool.
Breakfast was very poor, not the Hilton breakfast you get elsewhere.
Not a great hotel but it was relatively cheap when staying in July there.

Avoid this hotel if you can!

We booked a Junior Suite and a Superior Twin room for our family of 4. We got 2 standard rooms in a "2-person" twin and a "Deluxe" King, each room multiple levels below what we had paid for. The price difference was somewhere around 164€ under the value of our original booking.
They didn't say anything at check-in. When I phoned the front desk, they said it wasn't that big a difference and that the hotel was full. I eventually went down, and they said we'd get a free welcome drink and % off our dinner. I was not satisfied. Finally, at check-out, I expressed my displeasure with the front desk again, and they eventually did their best to rectify the situation by covering our complete dinner and drinks and refunding some money (in the end, it wasn't clear how much that was).
We planned to have a relaxing one-night getaway to spend time as a family, having fun in the pool, and going for a walk in the woods. I did not, however, sign up for having to telephone the front desk, complain at the front desk, complain again at the front desk, and spend my Monday morning writing this disappointing review, first thing. I assume that there is probably a proportion of their guests who experienced the same thing. It seems like a classic practice of overbooking and downgrading rooms, essentially, guests overpaying for what they get. Pretty dishonest practice if you ask me.
I highly recommend guests considering this property to book at any of the other top locations in Luxembourg City.
Sincerely, extremely disappointed ex-Hilton guest.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.
First and foremost, I would like to sincerely apologize for the disappointment you experienced during your stay. I fully understand your frustration, especially as your family getaway was meant to be a relaxing occasion and instead required repeated discussions with our front desk team.
Please allow me to clarify that we do not intentionally overbook higher room categories or downgrade guests as a business practice. On the contrary, our goal is always to accommodate guests in the room type they have reserved. Unfortunately, on the day of your arrival, an exceptional operational situation prevented us from providing the booked room categories, and I sincerely regret that this was neither communicated proactively nor handled in the manner you deserved.
I am pleased that our team ultimately arranged to cover your dinner and drinks and processed a partial refund in an effort to acknowledge the inconvenience. However, I fully recognize that compensation cannot replace the experience you had planned for your family, and I understand why you left feeling disappointed.
Your comments regarding the communication at check-in and the way your concerns were addressed have been shared with our Front Office Manager . We are reviewing these procedures to ensure that, should such an exceptional situation ever arise again, guests receive clear information and appropriate solutions from the very beginning.
I truly regret that we let you down on this occasion and that your experience has affected your confidence in our hotel and in the Hilton brand. I hope you might consider giving us another opportunity in the future to provide the level of hospitality and service you rightfully expected.
Kind regards
Moulay Alaoui
Director of Operations
