excellent and convenient location

This is huge property at Brinchang. More so an apartment building than a hotel. There are are two premises, one is called The Retreat, which has the main reception, the other one is called Nova Highlands Resorts and Residences. We stayed in the latter one. Both the accomodations are 100 meters apart. The resort is conveniently located at walking distance from the main attractions.
The suits are nice and cozy with balcony overlooking the valley and the farms. Each suite has a kitchenette area equipped with a microwave, mini fridge and electric kettle. They provided complimentary tea coffee and two bottles of mineral water. The bathroom is clean with a geyser and toiletries. The bed linens are clean but the upholstery of the living room might need some refurbishment.
Overall stay is satisfactory.

Worst hotel ever!

One sentence to describe the hotel: "The building should be demolished!" The entire building looked haunted and the car park looked so scary. The room wasn't clean and couldn't tolerate the foul smell when we opened the door. In the middle of the night, we heard footsteps right outside our room and twice we heard the sound of someone trying to open the door. Between, the image displayed on the website and the actual room are totally different. Hotel yang paling seram. Not recommended

Extremely Disappointing Stay at Nova Cameron Highland

recently booked a 3-day stay at Nova Cameron Highland, and unfortunately, it turned out to be a nightmare. My experience was nothing like what I expected, and I feel the need to share my dissatisfaction with others.
I arrived at the hotel around 1:00 PM and was told by the reception staff that I could only check in at 3:00 PM sharp. While I was okay with waiting, I came back around 2:45 PM, only to find a long queue of guests waiting to check in. The check-in process took almost an hour, which was very frustrating, especially considering the hotel had no prior communication about this delay.
During the check-in, I overheard another guest angrily shouting about the poor condition of their room. At that point, I became very worried about what we might encounter.
I had specifically mentioned on Agoda that I suffer from a dust allergy, and I requested a room that was thoroughly cleaned. However, once I received my room key and went upstairs, I was shocked by the condition of the room. It was dusty, smelled terrible, and looked as though it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. The bathroom was filthy, and the sofa was covered in dust. The overall room quality made me feel like I had walked into a haunted house – it was absolutely unacceptable.
In the end, I couldn’t stay at Nova and ended up checking out immediately. I moved to a different hotel, which was a far superior experience, with 5-star amenities and service. I feel like I completely wasted my money booking at Nova.
The reception staff were more focused on billing than addressing any guest concerns. It was clear that they didn’t care about the quality of the guest experience.
I will never stay here again, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone. This was my first and last booking at Nova Cameron Highland.

Comfortable, Clean, and Great Value Stay at Nova Hotel Cameron Highlands

had a very pleasant stay at Nova Hotel in Cameron Highlands. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The room was spacious, tidy, and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with a smile.

Nice yet not so nice

I recently stayed at this hotel, which is conveniently located within the same building as Cameron Square. However, check-in was a bit inconvenient as the reception is in another building, The Retreat, requiring a short walk.
Check-In & Deposit
Check-in was straightforward but slightly inconvenient due to the location. A cash deposit of RM100 was required, along with a RM3 tourism fee per stay, which could only be paid via QR code.
Parking
Parking is available in the basement with a maximum charge of RM7.50. However, you can get free parking by walking to the reception to validate your TnG card—a minor hassle but definitely worth it if you prefer not to pay for parking.
Room
I booked a spacious room for three people, but unfortunately, the cleanliness was not up to standard. The floor and balcony were dusty, and the toilet had visible mould in some areas.
The bed and sofa were comfortable, and the room came with basic toiletries (3 shower gels and 3 shower caps). Tea and coffee were provided, but oddly, there were no utensils for stirring drinks. Additionally, there was no fridge in the room, which could be inconvenient for some guests.
Breakfast
Breakfast was served at a café on B1 with a beautiful view of a greenhouse, which was definitely the highlight of the stay. The buffet offered a good selection of food, making it worth the price.
Buffet Menu:
✅ Nasi Lemak
✅ Mee Goreng
✅ Fruit Salad
✅ Porridge
✅ Half-Boiled Eggs
✅ Scrambled Eggs
✅ Baked Beans
✅ Hashbrowns
✅ Kuey Teow/Mee Soup
✅ Cereal
✅ Toast (with only orange spread—would have loved a strawberry option!)
✅ Hot Drinks & Juices
Pricing:
RM30 per adult
RM25 per senior citizen/child
Overall Experience
While the hotel has its perks—such as spacious rooms and a scenic breakfast spot—it also had notable downsides, including cleanliness issues and an inconvenient check-in process.
Would I stay here again? No, I’d prefer to explore other hotels in the area.
