Had a great stay

We had a great stay for 2 nights during this holiday. They own a restaurant downstairs, so it's very convenient for us to have dinner (steamboat), and it's very happening during the night, just a short distance to night market. Overall was great, we had a good night sleep and we will definitely be back again!

Very dirty and noisy. Totally cannot sleep as the bed sheet and blankets and pillows are so dirty and smelly. No parking and owner behavior also not friendly

We came while it still under renovation and we didn't notice it still under renovation coz there's no notice about that. But luckily when we got there they give us another place for us to stay and it is quite comfortable for a staycation it just a bit far from the place that we expected to stay in.

Beware of the stink smell of room and bed sheets esp. the pillows.n

On arriving the hotel, cannot find a parking and on entering the room the smell is terrible and have to suffer for one night with the stinking room and the pillows.
Please check and clean the rooms before giving to customers.

Customer service fail

I planned a last minute trip to Cameron Highlands, and upon quick search found out that this hotel has a vacant room for 4 pax (2 queen beds).
I called the hotel's number, and was answered by a very unfriendly-toned lady (whom I later found out was the owner) which confirmed that they had the empty room at RM150. I paid RM100 deposit via bank transfer and was told to pay the remaining RM50 at the hotel.
When I arrived at the hotel (around 9.30pm), the man at the reception had no idea who I was and what room I booked, although I had already gave all my details via SMS to the lady on the phone. I told him that the lady said I only need to pay the remaining RM50, to which he asked for my proof of payment. Afterwards, he simply gave me the key and...continued playing with his phone? I mean, the least he could do was perhaps say 'your room is at the third floor, on your right' but no. Nothing. Zilch. Not even a thanks.
We were so tired, we decided to call it a day and hit the sack. On the plus side, the room is tidy (although I am bothered by the plastic layer of the bed. Yes, they did not take the plastic off) but very poorly lit.
The next morning, I was the first person to shower and guess what? I showered with cold water because the hot shower was not (yet) functioning. Thankfully, after letting the water run for a while, my parents were able to shower with warm water.
Upon check out, NOBODY was at the reception desk We waited for 10 minutes, and still nobody came. To me, that is a very odd behaviour for a hotel receptionist. Someone should man the reception desk at all times. What if something goes wrong and a customer need help? What if there is an emergency?
I decided to not come again, left my keys at the reception, and hope for the best for anyone who wishes to stay at Silverstar Hotel Brinchang.
