Quaint stay

Nice spacious rooms with intricate details and history. Great central location. Friendly and welcoming staff. Light snacks and beverages provided for guests. A photogenic spot.

Beautiful heritage property

If you’re looking for a stay that feels like a genuine step back in time, Jawi Peranakan Mansion is a total gem. It’s less like a hotel and more like a beautifully preserved piece of Penang’s history.
I stayed in one of the Mansion Rooms: The rooms are stunning, filled with character and old-world charm. While the beds were firm, they were still very comfortable.
Being in a historic building, you’ll hear some road noise in the mansion rooms, but it didn't bother me—it just felt like part of the city's energy.
The pool is a wonderful. It’s the perfect, quiet oasis to cool off after a humid day of exploring.
The staff are incredibly lovely and welcoming. Plus, the location is ideal—you’re right in the heart of George Town’s best food and culture.
Authentic, charming, and perfectly located. I’d go back in a heartbeat. Probably one of my favourite places in a long time.

Far from the hustle and bustle of tourist crowds.

A quiet place away from the hustle, with a very typical and even "historic" setting. Very helpful staff.

Quiet beautiful accommodation

Cozy little family hotel with a beautiful baptismal pool. Loved our tasteful room. Quiet, quiet & with nice staff. Like being transported back in time. Good free ice cream (although it ran out during our stay. Happy to return, feels like home.

Good location but very loud

Good location but the rooms are incredibly loud with very little sound insulation from the traffic outside.
Staff were ok but not particularly friendly or helpful. For example when checking out I was carrying suitcases down the stairs - the staff saw me and didn’t offer to help.
Facilities are good and the property is clean
