I had a wonderful stay here. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout my visit. There’s also a restaurant downstairs that serves high-quality halal food. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for accommodation in Langkawi, especially because of its very convenient location.

Very old and dark. Could really use a refreshment…..pool was out of order and spa was closed.

Air con was weak. WiFi took a while to connect initially.
Reception staff were extremely slow when registering (took15 minutes).
No alcohol allowed in hotel.

What a let off

My wife and I stayed at the Adya Hotel for 2 nights and on the second day, a male housekeeping staff just used his room access card to open our room without even knocking on the door nor did he ring the door bell. My wife was utterly shocked when a stranger walked into the room. As i was out, my wife told about the incident almost immediately and I called the hotel reception to request for an explanation and all the hotel receptionist could do was say sorry. Extremely disappointed.

The Adya hotel is 3km from the ferry terminal. Most staff do not speak english so communication difficult. Several things broken in room, ac leaking, found a dead bat on the floor which reinforces the cleaning issues. I seen someone else commneted about bats in the room and thoight it obsurd but then experienced it also. Obviously they get in when windows and doors are left open. Reception staff never acknowlege you after checking in and totally ignore your presence when passing thereafter. Things happen slowly if at all in this aging hotel that is over due a refurbishment.
Pool is nice although few sunbeds for the 200+ rooms. Towels were often not available around the pool and sunbeds didnt have materass making them uncomfortable.
Many local restaurants nearby and a mall within walking distance.
