DO NOT STAY AS A WOMAN - UNSAFE AND THREATENING. Needs closing down
When I raised issues with the manager, his response was aggressive and hostile. He told me to “go to hell” when I complained. After that interaction I felt intimidated. He repeatedly walked up and down the corridor outside my room and made loud banging noises in the hallway, making it very clear he was there. As a female guest this behaviour made me extremely uncomfortable returning to the room.
The lobby was also full of men sitting around watching guests come and go, which added to the uncomfortable atmosphere. With no working WiFi I could not easily contact anyone, which made the situation feel even more unsettling.
After this experience I looked at other reviews and was alarmed to see multiple guests reporting similar concerns about management behaviour and staff entering rooms using master keys.
The room was in unacceptable condition from the moment we arrived. The bedding was visibly stained and dirty; we asked for it to be changed twice and the replacements were no better. There were insects and ants in the room, the WiFi did not work at all, and the ceiling had large holes from what looked like unfinished construction. The property felt neglected and nothing like the listing.
When I attempted to leave because of these issues, the property refused to refund the unused nights even though the room was clearly not as described. The listing requires payment at the property, which makes it very difficult for guests to leave once they discover the true condition of the accommodation.
Do not stay here as a woman.

Once & never again ! ❌!!️LANGKAWI PARADISE RESORT – A PARADISE FOR THOSE WHO LOVE DIRT AND CHAOS !!️❌
Clear criticism of Langkawi Paradise Resort
The name raises expectations for relaxation and comfort – but disillusionment follows on site. It becomes clear from the first impression that there is a lack of basic care here. The cleanliness left much to be desired: dirty mirrors and surfaces, wet floors in the bathroom area and ants in the room are not an acceptable standard, certainly not for a resort of this price range.
The soundscape is also problematic. In the corridors, there is sometimes unrest until late at night, so it is hard to think of restful sleep. If you are looking for peace and quiet, you will be disappointed here.
The pool and outdoor area seems insufficiently organized. There are too few loungers and hardly any shade, which makes staying in tropical heat unnecessarily uncomfortable. Relaxation looks different.
The rooms themselves do not appear modern or high-quality, but rather worn out. The advertised “City View” also does not turn out to be an added value.
Conclusion: The price-performance ratio is not right in our view. Those who value cleanliness, structure and a quiet atmosphere should better look for an alternative. Staff are not too friendly in reception.

❌️ THE MOST WORST HOTEL IN LANGKAWI ❌️
I booked 3 King Pool View rooms for 3 nights for our group of 6 adults, one 5-year-old child, and a 16-month-old infant. What was meant to be a relaxing family getaway in Langkawi turned into a stressful, frustrating, and highly disappointing experience filled with accusations, poor service, and broken promises.
1. Unnecessary Complaints & Harassment from Staff
On the second day at around 12:30PM, while we were all at the pool, a receptionist approached us saying other guests had complained that we were too loud. Yes, we had some music playing—but it was NOT during quiet hours. In fact, we had already respected their stated quiet hours of 8PM to 8AM, which is already quite restrictive for a resort environment.
We immediately lowered the volume after the first complaint. However, just 15–30 minutes later, she returned with another staff member insisting that no music should be played at all near the pool. When I politely asked where this rule was stated, there were no signs, no written policies—nothing. It’s a resort, not a library. Guests come to relax and enjoy themselves.
Feeling unfairly targeted, we escalated the matter to the manager.
Later that night around 10PM, we were simply sitting outside our rooms by the pool—no music, no alcohol, no smoking—just quietly chatting. Suddenly, a staff member approached us, shined a torchlight directly into my face, and rudely said, “Drink? Drink inside!”
This was extremely disrespectful.
He wrongly accused us of drinking by pointing at an empty beer box near another room. I clarified that it was empty and only kept for packing. Once he realized his mistake, he walked away without even apologizing.
The tone, the behavior, and the assumptions made us feel like we were being treated as offenders rather than paying guests.
To make matters worse, the hotel switched off all pool lights at night, leaving the area in complete darkness—a serious safety hazard. Anyone could easily slip or fall into the pool. Ironically, this probably explains why staff had to use torchlights themselves.
This is supposed to be a “resort,” but it felt more like a strict hostel where guests are expected to stay hidden after 8PM.
2. Broken Promises & Confusion Over Basic Amenities
Before booking, I specifically requested 3 connecting rooms as we were traveling with young children. The hotel confirmed this request via the booking platform, and connecting rooms were even listed as an option.
Upon arrival, we were given 2 rooms next to each other and another room located far away. Even worse, the two rooms were not actually connecting.
When questioned, the explanation given was: “We thought connecting rooms meant rooms next to each other.”
This is unacceptable—hotels should clearly understand such basic terminology.
Additionally, the booking platform stated that baby cots were free of charge. However, when we requested one, we were suddenly told there was a fee. To make things worse, different staff quoted different prices—RM15 per day and RM40 per day.
So which is correct? Free? RM15? RM40?
This inconsistency and lack of clarity clearly reflect poor management. For families traveling with infants, this is simply unacceptable.
We initially tolerated the room arrangement, but after repeated harassment, all these issues became impossible to overlook.
3. Room Condition – Far Below Expectations
• The rooms were poorly maintained and did not match expectations:
• No locks on bathroom doors
• Stained bedsheets, pillowcases, and towels in all rooms
• Air conditioning not cold enough even after running all day
• Loud AC compressor located right outside the sliding doors
• Noisy mini fridge constantly turning on/off
• Squeaky main doors showing lack of maintenance
Thin walls—we could hear other guests clearly, yet somehow only our family was singled out
4. Poor Service Standards
The concierge was completely unhelpful—no assistance with luggage, no effort to open doors, and no basic hospitality. It genuinely felt like his presence served no purpose.
This is not my first visit to Langkawi, and I have stayed in many hotels here over the years without any issues. I chose this resort based on its advertised setup and suitability for families—but it turned out to be a huge mistake.
If I could give negative stars, I would. Even 1 star feels overly generous.
We respected their quiet hours and complied with every request—even those not clearly stated. Yet we were repeatedly blamed, wrongly accused, misinformed, and treated with complete disrespect.
Unfair. Unprofessional. Unacceptable.
I will never return—and I strongly urge families to think twice before booking this place.
