Great stay in a lovely location, with friendly staff and easy access to one of the island’s best beaches.
We had a lovely stay here and would happily recommend it. The location was excellent, very close to the beach with a private pathway, which was a really nice touch. It is also next to one of the best beaches on the island, which felt more natural and much cleaner than others we visited. It was also only a five minute walk to one of the best fire shows on the island, which made the location even better.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and made us feel welcome throughout our stay. The breakfast was good, the pool was clean and well looked after, and the whole environment felt peaceful and relaxing. We especially loved hearing the birds around the property, which added to the calm atmosphere.
We also felt very safe during our stay. Even when we left items outside our room, we never felt worried about them. Overall, it was a very comfortable and enjoyable place to stay.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and made us feel welcome throughout our stay. The breakfast was good, the pool was clean and well looked after, and the whole environment felt peaceful and relaxing. We especially loved hearing the birds around the property, which added to the calm atmosphere.
We also felt very safe during our stay. Even when we left items outside our room, we never felt worried about them. Overall, it was a very comfortable and enjoyable place to stay.

Not What We Expected – Cleanliness Needs Serious Improvement
We stayed at Tropical Resort Langkawi for nine nights (although we had originally planned eleven). The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which we truly appreciated.
However, our overall experience was mixed. While the hotel looks appealing in photos, our triple room was quite disappointing — dark, with dark walls, and unfortunately not very clean.
It didn’t feel comfortable or well-maintained.
In comparison, our friends who stayed in double rooms had much brighter and more spacious accommodations, which made a noticeable difference.
Breakfast was another downside. The selection was very limited, and most of the food was often cold. There was also a lack of fresh vegetables — occasionally there was some cucumber or lettuce, but overall the options were quite poor.
On the positive side, the pool area was nice, and the location is convenient, close to the beach and surrounded by pleasant surroundings.
That said, cleanliness is something the hotel should seriously improve. The bathroom, including the shower and toilet, was not up to standard, and the cleaning service could definitely be more thorough. Even simple updates like repainting the walls or improving maintenance would make a big difference.
In summary, the location and staff are strong points, but the cleanliness and room quality need significant improvement.

Without words..
I booked a 38 m² deluxe room, clearly advertised. What I was given was a space of barely 20 m², including the bathroom. Even the “smaller” categories they advertise (25 m²) are misleading, since this room was clearly much less.
When I raised the issue, the only “solution” offered was breakfast – something I never booked or wanted. The manager then argued that I had chosen a king-size bed and therefore had to accept this room. That logic is unacceptable: square meters are not optional extras.
What shocked me most was the manager’s behavior. Instead of taking responsibility, he repeatedly said “women like you are a problem” and even told me “I don’t want to have you here.”
As a paying guest, this level of disrespect is beyond unprofessional.
I am grateful the Booking platform recognized the misrepresentation and issued a refund, but this should never have happened. Travelers deserve honesty, transparency, and basic respect.

We acknowledge that there was a mistake in the room size information listed on Booking.com, and we take full responsibility for this miscommunication. As the team in charge at that time, we immediately offered a complimentary breakfast and later a full refund, which was processed by Booking.com. Unfortunately, all our larger rooms were fully booked, and we regret that we were unable to move you to a bigger room.

We've been in this hotel for two weeks. I love this place ♥️
+ Cleaning rooms every day, towels every day. Tea, water, shampoo and shower gel are also brought.
+ There is its own access to the beach and it is not very crowded.
+ On the grounds there are sunbeds, library, place to work.
+ There are many cafes, restaurants, snack bars nearby. The night market on the main street is not very far, we went every day.
+ Very comfortable living in a pool room, you can swim at any time. But if you want silence and there are children among the guests - it will be noisy)
+ Due to the noise we asked us to move to another room, further away from the noise and the hotel staff went to our meeting.
+ Between the beach and the rooms there is an area where you can see and hear different birds, monkeys, lizards. My inner child here was happy ❤️
+ A discount is available for hotel residents in the nearby cafe and spa.
The beach is really dirty, nobody's cleaning it. There was this guy on vacation who picked up all the trash from the beach. Great!
Breakfast is pretty scarce, especially when you're resting for two weeks. Rice or noodles, chicken sausages, eggs scramble, beans in tomato sauce, spring rolls or potato hashbrown. Watermelon (one caught spoiled), orange, salad leaves. Toast bread, jam or chocolate paste. Tea and coffee.
- Some guests may ignore the rules and swim in the pool late at night and make noise.
The walls are thin, and if your neighbors decide to throw a party, you'll all hear. That's why we moved.
I really liked the atmosphere, the drunken peace and quiet. Thanks for your rest ❤️

The seaside is just behind the property. The shops, ATM machine and restaurants are just around the corner from the resort. Just a minute walk, good location ☺️
