First time in Maldives
This was our first visit to the Maldives and we really liked Ukulhas, because of the excursion options, snorkeling and location. Paguro is an amazing hotel with even better staff, Solaman is a very nice person who advises, entertains and is incredibly helpful. The food is very tasty, the location of the hotel is great. Our experience is 12/10 and we will definitely come back!

A wonderful experience
We had a brilliant time at the Paguro Beach Inn last week. It's one minute from the beach and very close to the house reef which is ideal for snorkelling.
The staff were unbelievably kind and thoughtful, always smiling and ready to go the extra mile. Prior to our arrival, Solaman responded strightaway to all our emails.
On our arrival, Shafaq explained all that we needed to know about the island even telling us what time of day we could expect to see turtles and nurse sharks down by the port. Mohamin and Ahlim took us on an unforgettable boat trip to swim with manta rays, turtles and nurse sharks. The 2:2 ratio that they offered us was great, we felt safe and they had the time to explain to us about the local marine life, which was fascinating.
We booked B&B accommodation. The guest house does lunch and dinner which we enjoyed and found to be good value. There are also plenty of other places nearby to go and eat, at very reasonable prices.
There is a degree of construction going on on the island. Another factor to take into account is that there is no alcohol there. However we didn't find that either of these things detracted from our enjoyment of an extremely pleasant stay at the Paguro Beach Inn. Our thanks go to Solaman and his friendly and efficient team!

Avoid! Not what was promised
Extremely dissatisfied. We booked months in advance (back in March), yet no one informed us that we would be staying in the middle of a construction zone with disruptive noise all day long. The food was a total letdown; it went from a promised fine-dining experience to a bland buffet reminiscent of school cafeteria food. When dessert consisted of just four small slices of apple, we lost all hope. A total joke. We will never return."

Dear Mr.Henrik Thank you for your much awaited review. We understand your disappointment with the ongoing construction in Ukulhas Island. The construction is an issue that had been highlighted by travellers across various online platforms. However we have to inform you that Islands administrative authority restricted from evening till morning from doing works that create loud noises. It has to be said that construction in itself is not in hindering the guests in accessing, the beach, lagoon and various features that Ukulhas has to offer to its guests. Referring to your claim of the buffet, it has to be said that vast majority of our clients have commented positively about the food varieties offered in the buffet. Not being a resort, one cannot expect a buffet reminiscent of those presented in resorts where obviously the price is several time higher than a local guesthouse such as ours. While thanking you for your stay and review, we would like to assure you that we will try our best to improve our buffet which was the concern within our control. Paguro Beach Inn - Ukulhas
Incredibly pleasant and friendly hotel manager who is always willing to help with anything you need. All the staff are kind and smiling, the whole place is spotless, and it's just a few steps to the stunning beaches. The buffet-style food never disappointed us, and we had the chance to try everything. Thank you for those wonderful days, and hopefully, we'll see you again someday...
