Viu 57 hotel Malta

We had the privilege of staying in Viu 57 meaning 57 rooms from the 21st to 28th of April 2026. You are greeted by panoramic views and The amazing vista was breathtaking. You could see the whole of the coastline. I would easily say these are some of the best views of Mellieha.
It’s a very quiet, clean and perfectly situated hotel. Approximately 0.7 km from the beach.and centre . Malta the country i found to be extremely safe and very clean over over all.
Our room had its own fridge, kettle, air con and the hotels
Wi-Fi , but most importantly, you wake up to the , most mind blowing views One rarely is fortunate to see.
The Staff were super friendly, multilingual very kind and knowledgeable. On our trip, we were lucky and we got to know Neema and Deepak Kumar who assisted us in every way possible. The buses that are around the corner are brilliant , clean and super dependable. Some go to the capital Valletta in no time at all.
Unfortunately, we didn’t have breakfast and many a time I looked down for my balcony. I wish we had.
But the view which was awe inspiring made up for this.
You are also around the corner from some very important historical sites such as the stunning landmark” Paris Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary” the church is renowned and attracts both pilgrims and tourists and is literally on your doorstep. So is.” the grotto of our Lady.” a historic underground natural cave shrine, Old local tradition states it is a sacred space that dates back to A D 60 of an ancient pilgrimage roots and still to date it attracts worshipers . Both the church and The grotto are situated are
If you’re interested in a quiet, serene and breathtaking scenery next to an important historic landmarks , at extremely reasonable prices.
That is not Far from The Beautiful beach and somewhat busier centre, then I couldn’t recommend a more perfect place
Wishing you an extremely happy holida

Fantastic view overlooking the bay. Welcoming and helpful staff. Recommend to take a taxi to the hotel as it’s uphill from the buss station.

Beautiful location, recommended facility

The facility is certainly to be recommended as a whole, particularly for the beautiful location, not only referring to the stunning view from the rooms and the pool but also because it is just a few steps from the center of the town of Mellieha, where there are various excellent dining opportunities.
Comfortable and well-furnished rooms with adjustable air conditioning; the frequency of changing sheets/towels could be improved. The aspect that would need a review and would merit the 5 stars in the judgment is the breakfast, which is rather limited in variety and poorly stocked.
However, we did not encounter the parking difficulties reported by other reviews.
Overall, it was a stay that satisfied us and that we recommend for a quiet and relaxing vacation.

When the views matter!

The first thing that hits you at Hotel VIU57 is the view. It's genuinely one of the most spectacular hotel panoramas I've come across in Malta. Looking out across Mellieħa Bay towards Comino and Gozo, it's the kind of view that never gets old. If you're an early riser, you're in for a treat—the sunrise over the islands is nothing short of dramatic, with the changing colours reflecting across the sea in a way that's worth setting an alarm for. If you're booking, do yourself a favour and request one of the higher floors—the extra elevation makes an already impressive vista even more memorable.
It's also worth remembering that this is a three-star hotel. Once you keep that in mind, many of the small imperfections feel much easier to forgive.
Although the hotel is relatively modern, parts of it could benefit from a little more attention to detail. There are signs of everyday wear in places, and a few quick fixes are noticeable—for example, a mix of stylish, high-quality sun loungers alongside the occasional budget plastic one. None of this detracts significantly from the stay, but a more consistent finish would make the overall experience feel even more polished.
There is only one relatively small lift, shared by both guests and housekeeping. Depending on timing, you may find yourself waiting a little longer than expected, especially during busy periods.
Breakfast is on the simpler side rather than extravagant, but it's fresh, satisfying, and sets you up well for a day exploring northern Malta.
The staff, however, are the real stars of the hotel. Friendly, welcoming and genuinely helpful, they create the kind of atmosphere that leaves a lasting impression and more than makes up for many of the hotel's shortcomings.
The shower in my room may well have been the smallest I've encountered in any hotel! Thankfully, it was spotless, worked perfectly, and the beautiful tiling gave it plenty of character—proof that good design can soften even the tightest of spaces.
One final point for future guests: the hotel's location and layout mean it isn't the easiest choice for travellers with mobility challenges. That's worth considering before booking.
Overall, Hotel VIU57 offers something that many far more expensive hotels simply can't—a truly unforgettable setting. Pair the breathtaking views, dramatic sunrises and genuinely warm hospitality with good value for money, and it's easy to understand why guests return. A little extra investment in the finishing touches would elevate it from a very good three-star hotel to one that people rave about.

We stayed at 5 hotels on our visit to Malta and Gozo. We only stayed at this hotel for one night, but found the location to be excellent. It had a good sized swimming pool with amazing views over Mellieha Bay. Our room was very big and we had a small balcony that had great views. It was within very easy walking distance to the main square by the church and restaurant's. The breakfast was very good with a varied choice of hot and cold foods. The staff were very helpful and allowed us to leave our bags in a secure place as we arrived early, plus we were given nice clean pool towels and allowed to use the pool prior to us checking in. Would we stay here again, yes very much so.
