Excellent 4* with a sea view

We stayed for 7 days in a deluxe sea-view room. The welcome was very professional with explanations about the hotel upon our arrival. The room, on a relatively high floor, was spacious and the sea view was magnificent. We appreciated the large bathroom with a walk-in shower, the very pleasant balcony behind the large bay window, adjustable air conditioning which was essential given the daily 30 to 34ºC temperatures, good soundproofing, and comfortable bedding. Breakfast was just as pleasant, with our hostess's big smile, as it was delicious, with a wide variety of savory dishes for those who enjoy them, as well as breads, pastries, fruits, yogurts, and coffees (yes, several types of coffee!)—plenty for a good breakfast. We also had access to an indoor pool and a private living room with drinks and appetizers after our swim. The hotel is a few minutes' walk from the ferries, shops, and restaurants, and also close to San Ġiljan, its beaches and restaurants, and all the buses for getting around the island.
We did not dine at the hotel's restaurant, Hammett’s Monastik Restaurant.
Our disappointment concerns our request at the front desk for a breakfast box the day before our very early departure, as the kitchen had advised us to do. But upon our departure, the person at the front desk had not taken our request into account. Too bad.

Absolutely lovely boutique hotel with spectacular views of the marina and Valletta. The staff was so friendly, the pool/spa area was peaceful and relaxing. The lunchroom is a perfect communal space. Very nice restaurants just a few steps away. Very convenient and centrally located. I can’t say enough good about my experience here. Thank you for your accommodation.

Clean but basic

Good location. Clean, friendly staff. Lovely view from bedroom and balcony. Soundproofing very good. Breakfast disappointing, basic, little variety from day to day and poor quality ingredients. Living room, drinks choice ok but snacks extremely disappointing. Spa area, both steam and sauna out of action, pool clean. Breakfast certainly not good value, had we not pre booked would not have had after first morning. The staff in there were very friendly and welcoming.

That said, we're sorry the breakfast itself didn't meet expectations — variety and ingredient quality are things we take seriously, and your comments have been passed on to the team. We're also sorry the sauna was unavailable, however, the steam room was operational; we understand how disappointing that is and are working to have it back up and running as soon as possible.

Excellent stay. Clean hotel and great local. I stayed for business trip so didn't spend much time in the hotel but it had everything I needed and all the staff were super friendly. Would definetly stay again.

Excellent location and great rooms

We were really excited to stay at this hotel. Location was excellent with amazing views. The rooms were excellent. But 2 areas were not what we would expect from a high end boutique hotel. (1) The filtered water for drinking (as we were informed you should not drink the water from the tap) was only available on 2 floors - which seemed like a cost cutting measure. (2) The staff were not very friendly or helpful - it really detracted from the experience of the hotel.
