Amazing stay

Every aspect of our stay exceeded our expectations. Very clean, hygienic and spacious room. The food was delicious
We would like to thank all the staff for the warm welcome. They made our stay a special one particularly Jameeta, Joanna and Viren.

We booked 4 rooms here due to value / website detail and proximity to the marina.
On arrival the reception gave an indication of what was to follow - drab, dated and dark.
We went to our rooms which were of a very poor standard - I opened my bedside table looking for the WiFi password, only to find the instructions for Viagra! My 3 friends all had similar experiences - probably the worst hotel I have set eyes on in 20 years.
After a discussion we all decided to leave immediately and find another hotel.

Very friendly staff but poor management

The reception staff was friendly and helpful but the hotel is generally very basic. The rooms are not kept as clean as they should and I was disappointed about inflexible management that did not allow us a late check-out but asked us to pay a full night extra although the hotel was empty. It's ok for a short business trip where all that is needed is a place to sleep.

Good spot for solo business travellers

The Gold Leaf is well located, close to the center of Port Louis. Facilities are rather limited but is close to shops and restaurants. The staff are friendly and helpful, rooms are large, comfortable and clean if a little dated. Good value for money.

Cool

Cool hotel near to the city centre. Good if you have any work to carry out in the city early in the morning as it will save you time instead of being blocked in traffic. Not too expensive and very affordable.
