Very clean, great location with AC and a fridge.

Rooms
Very clean, nice white simplistic design, spacious and comfortable with a fridge and AC.
The towels and sheets were nice and clean too.
Location
A very slow paced 2 minute walk to the ADO, food, bakery qnd pharmacy. 10 min walk into town, 15 mins to the Laguna, for me this was good because it was nice and quiet.
Staff
Welcoming, accommodating, friendly and helpful.
I stayed here for three nights, initially two but extended. I stayed here after some unpleasant stays elsewhere on my travels and this place was a breath of fresh air.
I read the other review that mentions the AC, I used it during the day and night but I didn’t always use the AC because the fan in my room (top room with a terrace) was adequate. This is my first hotel review this trip where there is nothing in the ‘what didn’t you like box’.

PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW

It may seem like we are going overboard with our insistence on leaving a poor review but in all my years of travel I have never left but one negative review at ANY place other than this one. That says a lot since I spent many nights away from home while being on the road and have seen a lot of properties.
Let me just start by saying that of the 49 amenities listed on their airbnb site, most of them do NOT exist. The host says that the rules are clearly stated and they are but NOWHERE on that list does it say that you cannot stay in your room during the day with the lights and AC on or the host will deliberately turn it off. (We actually caught them doing this as the controls were right outside our room. When we opened the door his goofball employee just laughed and pretended that the AC had tripped due to over usage which was so not true.) Nowhere does it say that hot water availability is limited to two specified hours of the day and that time is shared with 5 rooms so do not expect to have any.
I have taken the time to read all the reviews on every platform that this host is advertised on and I have found nothing but excuse after excuse as to why it is ALWAYS the fault of the guest. Not once has the host accepted responsibility for anything.
Most, if not all, of the responses are outright lies as was the case with my review and when I called him out on it he promptly removed all of it so that, you, the person who needs this information to make an educated decision cannot see it. The only good reviews appear to be from people who never stayed in their room very long as they were always on the go which is exactly what this very cheap host wants you to do. Stay gone.
For the record, this was not our first time staying here and we had little issues the first trip because we were never in the room. This time, however, we had learned more about what time to go places as most of the area does not really come alive until the evening. I will add that we are not your average “tourist” as we happen to have family nearby which is what led us to make the decision to stay there.
I have contacted Airbnb and they made it very clear to me that turning off the AC on his guests is a clear violation of their ground rules, not to mention the completely incorrect list of those aforementioned 49 amenities. I am certain that, true to form, the host is gonna to make some incoherent response to this review and that is fine. That does not change the fact that what I have just stated in the 100% absolute truth. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Clean and comfortable place to relax!

Aljhanna house is a very nice Rbnb. The rooms are nice, the beds are supercomfi and the place is nice and clean itself. Alex the owner is superfriendly and helpful. There is a little breakfast with coffee included that helps you start the day.

Nice experience in Bacalar

Excellent hotel, good price, we really liked Alex's attention, he helped us with excellent recommendations and organized a ride in the lagoon, he has bicycles and a delicious breakfast included, I will definitely return. It is only a 15-minute walk from the lagoon.
