My Fourth Visit to the Delfin Hotel.
The location is great in Zona Romántica. It’s flat, no hills, and convenient to restaurants, bars, and theaters. I love PV, and particularly charming Zona Romántica, but I’m not crazy about some of the steep hills necessary to climb to get to some of the hotels other than the Delfin.
Bertha, the manager is so helpful, warm, and attentive. She even helped me find a local pharmacy when I ran out of some of the meds due to my extended stay. I’ve stayed in other hotels in PV and one does not always find people like Bertha running the place.

Average stay!!!
When we arrived, there was no reception staff, and no one told us anything or whom to approach.
The rooms should be cozier, and the food should be tastier; we had a day of Chinese food that was very bad.
They should have more variety in the buffets, especially for lunch and dinner.

Hotel Delfin PV Beach Resort Exterior Amenities Poorly Maintained and Presented
First of all the highlights, the location is good. The room I reserved was well done, modern, clean, comfortable bed, small fridge and a balcony directly above the beach with great views of the pier and ocean. The interior spaces of the hotel were well maintained, clean and modern. There was at least one maintenance worker always found in some area of the hotel painting surfaces.
The exterior areas of the hotel are poorly maintained, filthy and a huge disappointment. Some of the key failures are; there are three pool areas with a total of 4 pools in total. The main pool area just off the lobby has two pools. These two pools were completely monopolized by families with children and it seemed that the children were taking turns screaming and making as much noise as possible from about 10am until about 6; A second pool with an infinity edge on a raised deck close by was filthy with bird dropping all around the infinity edge of the pool. I did not see anyone using this pool the entire time i was there; There were numerous chairs, tables and one umbrella nearby and all of them were covered with bird droppings making them impossible to use. I never saw anyone cleaning any of these areas the entire week i was there; The fourth pool is located immediately adjacent to the restaurant at on the lower level and is intended for adults only. Unfortunately there is a thick film of gray matter floating on the surface of the water that collects in one corner of the pool and extends along adjacent edges. It looks like it might be bird droppings but I am no expert on pool maintenance. I pointed this out to one of the employees working in that area. He went over to another employee and they had a brief discussion. I walked over to them to ask what was going on and the second employee told me then were aware of the water condition and that someone would be along to fix it later that day. It was never fixed and the pool had this gray film the entire time I was there. I never saw anyone using this pool.
On the fifth day of my stay there the volume of hot water coming from the shower had significantly reduced in the morning. In the evening there was no hot water at all. I went to the front desk and the person there told me that they had just worked on it and that there would be hot water in about half hour. I went out to dinner and came back about 2 hours later and there was no hot water. In the morning when I got up not only was there no hot water but when the hot water was turned on it ran at a low rate for a few minutes and then stopped completely. I returned to the front desk and got the same response as the previous day. The hotel did not put out a notice in the lobby about the water situation or make any other attempts to notify the guests or compensate them for this inconvenience.
This could be a good hotel if they put more effort into making sure that the basic services like water are well maintained and that the attractive amenities that the hotel has to offer are clean enough for the guests to use.
I do not recommend that guest consider staying at this property. I gave 2 stars to this property because the interior is well maintained but the exterior is not acceptable.
