Summer Vacation
Overall, we had an excellent stay! The staff were friendly and provided great service throughout our visit. We really enjoyed the pool and beach, and the kids had a wonderful time. The food was good, and we especially enjoyed the Italian restaurant. The evening shows and entertainment were also enjoyable. Although the rooms could use some renovation, our overall experience was very pleasant. We had a wonderful vacation and would definitely recommend this resort!

Park royal beach cancun
Hotel was under construction. Restaurants were closed. Room floor got flooded. Hotel lost power. Very bad Experience.

Regarding the loss of power, we would like to clarify that the outage was caused by an issue with CFE (Comisión Federal de Electricidad), which affected approximately half of the Hotel Zone at the time. Unfortunately, this was a situation beyond the hotel’s control.
Nevertheless, we deeply regret the inconvenience and discomfort this situation caused you, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with us.

Hoping it’s just temporary.
We’ve been coming to this hotel for 23 years as a large multigenerational family, so this review comes from years of experience. We’ve stayed through renovations and even a few hurricanes, but this was probably our least favorite visit.
The food quality was noticeably worse than in previous years, and, most surprisingly, several staff members were rude and not nearly as welcoming as we’ve always remembered. We also noticed many new faces. While there’s nothing wrong with new staff, one of the things that made this hotel so special was seeing familiar employees who recognized our family and made us feel at home. That personal touch was missing this time.
This trip just felt… off. After more than two decades of making memories here, it was disappointing to see such a decline. We truly hope this was just an exception and that the hotel can get back to the level of hospitality that kept us coming back for 23 years.
